Yo prajna: Your correct sir or madam I didn't see it and neither did you. What probably happened was you had a kneejerk liberal thought most likely triggered by a fart, believe me once the air clears you will be thinking straight and will understand Americans are dying so others may experience " FREEDOM ". Pradna does not represent the left, he is a wacko. Okay, maybe some of you think we liberals are all wackos. Damn, this staight jacket is too tight.

Dr.Maddvibe, I hope there never is another nuclear weapon used by any nation. The effects and consequences it brings is so great and uncomprehensible, and I totally disagree with your opinion that the US should use tactical or non-tactical nuclear weapons to dispose of terrorist. I'm pretty sure everyone in the White House understands the magnitude of a Nuclear weapon and have not come close to considering its use against terrorism. Remember we liberals are the wackos, don't you be one too.

And USAhog, I have seen several documentaries on Saddam, and I have seen documentaries on the 20 year civil war that has ripped Sudan apart, and I have seen documentaries on the Maniac that rules North Korea, and I have seen documentaries on the atrocities that people face from bad governments, but I have only seen the US attack one of those countries. Point being is that liberation of Iraq cannot be the reason for attack, we must find the WMD to backup the White Houses initial reasons and its strongest for attacking.

Well, that was just my wacko leftist opinions.

Keep smokin,

Chris, I believe that we were given honest reasons for going ahead with the war. I dont know the facts concerning the intellegence given to GW at the time.

If the intellegence was not accurate, then I do believe that the CIA and any other intellegence agencies should be checked out.

GW has no information to go on other than intellegence given to him at any given time. I dont think he would intentionally mislead the US, but if he was misinformed intentionally, by others, then $hit should hit the fan.

Whoa the smokes getting thick in here. I'm sure there are other motives going on here but considering what help we get and how much in pledges are actually paid and how the whole world just expects us to make everybody's life peachy keen by ridding it of all the monsters and keeping the pantry full plus supply every back porch with a rocking chair, maybe we should just let our ELECTED goverment do its job. It's not easy playing nurse maid to the world and we will make some mistakes but all in all I think we do a pretty good job.

I don't understand the last point well enough to comment, but I think I agree?

Choner, I think you might've missed my point(perhaps it wasn't stated too clearly either!)that after 9-11 I don't think any level headed person could fault us if we used nuclear weapons. The war on terrorism has had its share of casualties, BUT I think that this has to be some world record acheivement in restraint.

If you want an omlette, you have to break some eggs.

Do I wish harm on innocent people...NO! Do I think that this should've been handled by their own people...YES! Do I think that they're a pack of cowards that don't know that freedom comes with the price of blood...YES!

Harp and snipe away with the opinion that we had no business being there or the better on that this was just for oil! We're taking the terrorists out by the roots and there will be more innocent blood shed. The people are suffering from Stockholm syndrome and need to see that we're NOT the bad guys.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...to discredit the exisitance of WMD discredits the past administrations and the entire UN. This isn't some "little son" vendetta. 9-11 is an image that I can't shake out of my mind, its numbing to me that some people are willing to forget that day, those people that died, the lives that were damaged and that terrorism NEEDS to be taken out...for good!

I don't know what it'll take to make the "left" remember the facts that I mentioned, but I for one think that its an abomination that a Senator from my fine state(that's running for President)that serves on the Senate intelligence committee wants to berate whats going on and politicize it. See you in '04!

Doc, the only problem is that nukes are by definition "an area weapon"... Tactical nuke is a smaller area only in relative terms...

In all seriousness, we would never and should never consider their use accept for deterrence. i.e., you drop one on me, I'm gonna drop 100 on you. Massive, overwhelming retaliation. That's what kept us safe in the 50s, 60s, 70s... And keeps us from an overt assault today. The only problem is, they're getting smaller, and more people are seeking the technology, i.e., North Korea. I say, if we get hit with a suitcase nuke, and the supplies came from North Korea and their reprocessing and sales of WMD, we erase their country from the face of the earth...

Robby, know the difference. Apples and Oranges. Afghanistan and Iraq. One I would've blown into glass and the other into one huge 18 hole golf course. Yeah, I'm still bent over 9-11. I'm even madder still that there are countries that will never understand that freedoms come with a price. They're just too chicken$hit to something about it, because the ol' "world cop" is on the beat. There's certain instances where a hangnail of an American soldier don't compare with "collateral damage" we might inflict.

Teddy was and still is right. "Walk softly and carry a big stick"

Korea is a different ballgame. Hell, those psychos aren't even listening to China! Now wouldn't that open up a can of whoop-ass to have the US and China take out N.Korea? I shudder to think of the footage that will pour out of that region. I saw some a couple of years ago(about 5) and there were forests that had been stripped of all their bark because the people were starving and had to eat THAT!
