Propylene glycol is denser than water. Therefore, if you have equal amounts of each (in volume, that is), you'll have slightly more propylene glycol than water.

Didn't you give me a bottle of homemade 50/50 solution a while back? Remind me to add a little water to it before I use it again. 🙂

Like Dan said, "denser" by volume. Like you take out your measuring cup in the kitchen, fill it to the 1 pint line with water, and then compare it to the same line with motor oil. Weight and Volume are, as you know, two different things.. But then again, with the PG, we are talking about 1 percent, so no biggie....

Don't be so easy on him, SP. Shame him as I did. He has tainted the world's cigars with his 1% deviation for too long. Too long! Who knows how many others have been the unsuspecting recipients of his 51/49 solution, sent under the guise of 50/50. I'm so broken up that I don't even know if I can muster the courage to smoke anymore.
