This is nuts...forget this guy. Anyone who appreciates good smoke knows to be grateful for anything cuban...never mind the fact that it is a Montecristo for God's sake. I have an idea...give him an unaged Don Kiki with a Monte band on it!

Sorry it took so long to follow up.

We rigged up a Dictator (bought right here at cbid 5 for $1) with a Cohiba band. Told him it was a Sig IV and we wanted him to have it because he "knows so much" about cigars. He said "Thanks, looks a little lighter than most Cohibas I've smoked." (A little?! The damn thing looks like a white candle compared to a Cohiba!) He happily clipped it as everyone else clipped their authentic Monte 4's and lit it up. Walked around a bit with the Cohiba band making this dog taste like a gem. The others were informed what was going on and all were having a good laugh. Mr. Cigar expert came back over with the Cohibatator about a 1/4 gone and said that someone ripped us off because this is not an authentic Cuban. (Really?!!) He went on to explain how he's been ripped off in the past and that he hoped the Cohibatator didn't cost too much. (Yeah, about $.20!) He was then given the last Monte 4 of the night, which was reserved for him anyway. He had a nice little chuckle about it and said that he guesses he still has a thing or two to learn about Cuban cigars.

He took it all in good stride and wasn't upset in the slightest bit about it. Hey, the guy at least knew from the taste that it wasn't an authentic Cuban, so he knows a bit about cigars. Granted it took him about a 1/4 of a dog rocket to determine it, but maybe he was trying not to insult the gifter. He enjoyed the Monte 4 and I feel good that it wasn't wasted on someone who would not enjoy it. He was able to expand his Cuban cigar experience, since this was his first Monte 4, and we think he realized that he shouldn't spout off garbage just to try and make people think he knows more about something than he really does.

Thanks for all the advice! Cohibatators for everyone!
