THANK YOU!!!!!!

my health took a downturn, and i've been in bed for the past couple of days -- sorry for the delays.

the cigars i've found that seem to be spiciest have been unbanded "dog rockets" (as others call them; i call 'em heaven, though!). if anyone wants to dispose of any... 🙂 is there something that super-premium smokers dislike about spice? is heavy duty spice somehow a negative quality? i had a takoma the other day -- cheapo cigar, but spiiiiiiiicy! loved it!

i jotted down the names dropped and will be on the lookout. emails be going out now, and azn -- yes, sir, replied to your email today finally.

yeah, that JDNa70 is still up there in my top 3 favorites; i just had one, but the spice in it was just about right -- maybe even a bit mild. LOL

anyone else like cigars so spicy that you have tears in your eyes?

toraño -- ya know, i like (okay, LOVE) the toraño line but for a different kind of taste; i've yet to have one that i considered to be very spicy, but the 1916 comes close. i've not tried the Dominicans from them, but bassdude (THANK YOU!) just landed one here, so i'll be trying that when i can't stand to wait anymore. 🙂 i've had the RS nat and maddie, and the natural was (to me) very very very mild. good, yes, but mild. the maddie did have more spice; definitely prefer that one in the dark.

well, i finally lit up a machine-made ISOM (thank you, BOTL who sent it-- DED?), and *THAT* was THE CIGAR. oh man oh man oh man i did NOT want to put that little firecracker out. it was a Hoyo De Monterrey, and it competes for my "holy grail" cigar of spiciness, the tabacalera cubana.

is that the "cuban" taste?? mellow strength but blastations of spice?

ah, mysteries!!!

well, i have found a couple of cigars available here on cbid that have done my tastebuds right with the heat -- la hoja selecta (PERFECTLY my taste!) and takoma, believe it or not.

the LHS especially is the kind of smoke i'm looking for as a go-to gar. if anyone's familiar with this one and knows of others that are similar, please lemme know? thanks for all the tips, guys!
