OK...This is my first post, so please be patient with me until I learn the proper etiquette.

I attended the Portland herf - along with Rick, Dave, Ken, Mike, Andy, and ThomASS 🙂 What a great bunch of guys! I am serious...Everyone there was like an old friend - from the very beginning. One of the greatest things about smoking cigars is the people you meet in the process. This was no exception.

The place we met, Shilo Inn in Beaverton OR, has a great smoking bar. I personally smoked three cigars, and I think the average per person was closer to five 🙂 I think Dave smoked about 10...so that pushed the average up. I started with an Avo Domaine #50, followed by a Carlos Torano Tribute Robusto (which Mike gave me), then a Cuban Bolivar (which Andy brought me from Hong Kong) - which satisfied me so much that I stopped for the night.

Ken and Mike are close enought that Andy and I will be able to join them again, when their club meets this Wed night @ 7PM at the same location where we had the herf. Ken and Mike are Carlos Torano heads, and Ken gave everyone some type of CT as a parting gift.

What can I say...Great bunch of folks, great smoke! What more could a man ask for?

I'm finally posting, after two beautiful drives. If you have never driven US14, on the Washington side of the Columbia River (especially if you ride a motorcycle), I suggest you do it at least once. What wonderful states we have in the NW.

It was really great to meet everyone. Truly great and genuine folks. A really nice cigar bar at the Shilo Inn. I like to lead by example, and I said that this box pass was about meeting new people and herfing. So I made sure that I made at least one of the herfs and I was very happy to be at this one. What did I smoke? The Gurkha double X wrapper almost came completely off, and the Torano 1916 gave me the spins toward the end there, but good smokes all.

The one thing that keeps wringing true to me, about cigar smokers, is their generousity. I was gifted more than one cigar, including a Tribute from ilovemaui. Yatang and I made a great trade too. Genuine BOTL all.

While traveling, I was thinking that we could do an NW Box Pass and herfs once a year. Thanks again.

I'd like to chime in here guys and say it was great meeting you all and I look forward to herfing with you folks again soon.

Also, this is the biggest fricken box pass I have seen. I could barely fit the darn thing in the back seat of my car.

LOL....It really was difficult. I did get a picture of maui trying to get it in his car, but pretty much just turned into a maui "butt" shot! No ladies I am not going to post it! LOL (your welcome maui)
