I recommend all new cigar smokers use the ones with the plastic tips. They're the easiest to figure out which end to light.

Because the plastic burns faster and lights easier, right?

Yes, but only if you don't pay too much for them.

As for ISOM, see above.

I'm an over bidder....I bid on so many cigars.

Is that overbidding? hehehehe.

That's uber bidding. Close, but no cigar.

I'm amazed at what some people pay for 5-packs. For a lot of the prices that I see at the end of the night, that amount of money would buya person a BOX of 20.

based on your experience, how much of a discount, below CI retail, would you consider a good deal ?.....I have noticed quite a few lots go at retail or above.....maybe they're hooked on auctions and not cigars !

Seriously, deals are in the eye (wallet) of the beholder. I have my numbers that I am willing to pay, by the box or fiver, depending on the cigar, and if/where else I can get it.

My deals on CBid are usually pretty solid. Your results may vary, especially when you're bidding against people who don't know/or care to research the prices.

I put my maximum number in the bid-minder, then I forget about it. Either I get it, or I don't. Eventually, if the cigars are on here long enough, I get 'em at my price. Or I wake up and realize that I'm going to have to adjust my number up a bit if I ever want that cigar.

Bottom line - it's all in good fun. Have fun doing your research, have fun with the auctions, have fun waiting for the UPS person to drop off your treasures when you win. I have a box of Camacho Legends showing up today - Whoo-Hoo!
