Have been doing this micro-manufacturer experiment & have been smoking Bobalu this weekend. This morning I had a Bobalu Vintage '91' robusto. It was ok, but nothing to get excited about.

Am smoking a Bobalu Silver Label Habana 2000 robusto right now. The 1st half was just ok, but the 2nd half is really turning into a heck of a nice cigar.

Will wait a week or two & get into the 2nd, & identical, sampler pack & do some reviews on another forum.

Friday: I enjoyed a bowlful of Dunhills Nightcap. It had a very full, rich flavour; but the second half of the bowl had some charred, harsh notes that ruined it.

Saturday: I started the day with a mix of half Stokkebye Nightcap and half straight latakia. Not bad, and not nearly as aromatic as the Nightcap by itself (totally different blend from Dunhills Nightcap). Later in the day, I had a bowl of Dark Star by McClelland. Greeted by the distinct vinegar/ketchup smell that is the hallmark of McClelland when I opened the tin. It had a great, sweet flavour that I really enjoyed.

Sunday: I am heading out to the deck now, braving the 92 degree heat, to enjoy a bowl of something. I am not sure yet what I will be smoking. I think due to the heat, that I will stay with a Virginia flake, probably some Marlin Flake by Rattray.

All in all, a good weekend.

Friday evening had what is fast becoming a favorite, Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Toro

Saturday morning a lighter Petros Antonius, mild with hints of nutmeg?

Saturday afternoon a Cusano Killer Cameroon, strong but tasty

Saturday evening, after a great dinner out with friends, a Gurkha Regent, leather, expresso and hints of black cherry?

Sunday, on the golf course, a Gurkha Expedition.

Wow--am I was one who promised no more than 3 cigars a week!!! Time for Cigar Smokers Anonymous???

What a freekin weekend, from bad to worse!!

Friday I was waaaaaay to busy, honeydos, ya know, had a Parti short! yummy but as the name says it, short.

Saturday I headed out in my Vintage VW for a ralley/cruise, had an ace in my pocket. I get to the meeting place, and no one there, suck bummer, had a Sonic burger, a cherry limeade, then my clutch goes out and I am stranded, called the towtruck and waited for 2 hours, liky I had a Boli corona!!! got home and watched a bunk a$$ movie, "monster" freekin boring!!!

Sunday came along, went to a BBQ/picnic, hot, hot 3ple digits in the valley, traffic kids were horrible, long ride. Qued some sausages while smoking a Monte #4, ate some chilli and sausages, yummy, followed by a Boli SLB and a SCDLH principe, headed home, went the wrong way almost 2 hour drive, got home fell asleep on the couch, spent!!!
