Question: do you think that the Torano Tribute Torpedo is similar in strength to an AVO Domaine, CAO Extreme, Padron 3000, and Oliva 'O'? My guess is that these cigars are close in strength but not in price.

How about the JDN Antona as a very strong cigar. Would it definitely be stronger than the Tribute?

The JDNA is a strong cigar. If you like full bodied cigars check out Bucanero Full Sail, La Flor Dominica Chisels, El Rico Habano, VSG Enchantments. Those will have your tastebuds hopping!

DMV just identified four of my all-time favourite top-ten non-ISOM cigars. Haven't tried the Chisel....didn't realize it was that full-bodied from the copy and reviews I've read...........Something to look forward to trying....

Thanks. SO are the others I listed about the same in strength? I'm thinking that the JDN Antanos are less expensive than the VSG's, Chisels, etc. Yet their quality seems pretty good.

The regular JDN Antaños 1970 are a knock one on the ash smoke. A competitor is offering the Joya De Nicaragua Antaño Celebracion using the same filler and binder and wrapped it in a new Criollo seed wrapper. "The result is a very complex, medium-to-full bodied smoke that is 25% less strong than the Antano." Here's hoping the folks at CI/CBid offer these ASAP

G@@GLE finally has found a thread re: the criollo wrapped JDN

I know I like criollo [& corojo, sungrown, oscuro, etc...] wrappers

Uffda!!!
