The last time I had pine needles in my hair there was a farmer chasing me off his property with a shotgun for flattening the needles and grass with his daughter.

Watch your six Steve...watch your six!

Hey Slim. Any cigars that fit the same profile as a Don Douglas? What do u think is a good price for a box?

Awwwwwwwwwwww, SteveS is back in town!!!

I think I have to agree with Slim on his comments about Bucaneero's, sorry Tim (Mr. Beatdragon). I do enjoy the Peg Leg and Z's, and just recently had my first Don Douglas, and it is a keeper.

Now Tim, my offer still stands if you want to come by and enjoy some of the salmon in my freezer. We can even smoke a cigar for dessert. Maybe I'll have to have a Buc in your honor, heheheeee!!!

Hey Beat ...

... email me with your 'snailer', and I'll send you the same sampler I am sending to Charlie ...

... you know where to find me ... 😉

Is this a waste of some good, 'hard to come by' Bucanero cigars?

I think ... NOT!!!

You never know just when that 'bell' might ring ... and you've got a convert ... LOL!

Slim

You "converted" me to Napa Reserves and now they are no more...boo hoo hoo, sob, cry and tears! They truly were one of the greatest of all cigars!

Hey Slim, I have heard you mention the Napa Reserve, is that one a Mondavi Napa Reserve by H. Upmann? I was gifted one for my B-Day and have yet to try it. I keep reading your complements about the Napa Reserve and curious if I have one of those great smokes.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggg Bucaneero's!!!

Unfortunately KNOF ... those are not 'the kind' ...

The ones I consider the 'holy grail' of all cigars (the one that got me hooked) is the Robert Mondavi Napa Reserve Canary Island, with the'black and yellow' band.

Rumor had it, that they used Cuban tobacco in them, because at a blind tasting Smoke Mag did many years ago ... several of the panelists swore they were Cuban. Also, the Canary Islands imported tabocco leaves from Cuba ... so it could have been true. That, mixed with the Canary Island wrapper ... what a smoke!

Regardless ... it was one 'super-fine' cigar that I will never forget!

Not even close! The Mondavi "Private Reserve" is another cigar that could not come close to the Napa Reserve....I am like Slim, I will always remember them and keep them on my all time favorite listing!

A little late, but I have to add my 2 cents. I recently completed an ambassadorship for Bucs at a local shop and earned my free box from Johnny Spoden. He told me he'd send a box of the best he had. When I received a box of Don Douglas Cabinet Selection I was a little disappointed it wasn't a box of Salsas, Full Sails, or some of the good maddies, but when I lit one up the disappointment quickly went away. I was really impressed by them.... very tasty, creamy, perfect burn, nice white ash. Didn't put it down. Didn't know they were hard to find. If anyone wanted to trade a fiver of el Capitan Reserva Maduros, or any of the other Buc maddies to try some of these I'd be happy to. I like 'em all. Mail me at "aj_chicago" over there "at comcast period net".
