Anyone see the world biker buildoff on Discovery channel on Monday night?

I don't have cable right now. I miss the Discovery Channel more than anything else.

I am sorely sad that Indian Larry is gone. What a talented individual.

A friend of mine died 5 years ago on a "crotch-rocket". He was wearing a helmet. Didnt matter because he was doing 90mph. down a 25mph street. Guy backs out of his driveway and didnt see him because as he put it"he just came out of nowhere".
This kid died of internal injuries. I had a 750 Intercepter(i think thats right)while i was in the Army. An idiot in a pick-up with really dark tinted windows was passing me and couldnt see as he was pulling back over into the lane. He clipped my front end and i went off the side of the road. Next thing i felt was myself rolling then a loud thump. It was my helmet hitting a rock. When i got up and looked at my helmet it had a crack in it. Yes it saved my life. I Dont wear a helmet unless the law in the state im riding in requires it.


Ive seen both sides. Ive experienced both sides.
I choose not to wear a helmet. Im married and have two kids. I own my home and i drive a minivan. I could care less if people think im cool or not. It gets hot here in Oklahoma. Im not wearing any tipe of helmet.

....the kids mom still rides me every time she sees me not wearing a helmet knowing full well why her son died.

Now if you'll excuse me im going to ride around town and watch the young kids ride real fast to the stop lights. And when it turns green i'll be there waiting just like them,only not as long. It just makes me laugh.

I finally saw the Indian Larry episode on Biker Build-off last night. A class act.
