Ahh, more quibbling by hairless primates
over imagintational sky Pokemons.
Enough to make me usurp the wife's shrub lights
next year and craft a giant lawn stogie complete with
dancing hookers. If I arrange the blinking lights
sequentially I can probably make smoke rise
and glands jiggle. Naaa forget it. Too much work.

I live on the Left Coast so I have friends of ALL stripes (and some with no stripe) so I have no problem with what a neighbor puts up as long as it does not demean another person. So damn right, make it bigger :o) The truth is, we believers are not perfect, just forgiven. WWJD is something I try to follow. Another thing that works for me when I get my bowels in an uproar, is I light up the best cigar I have and mellow out and ask the Lord to help me think straight. Then there is always Millie there to get me back on the straight and narrow.

I employ a similar technique when trying to decide which stick to select, or whether or not to randomly speak to a broad with remarkable gams. I ask, WWSD? That's right, what would Sinatra do? So far it hasn't worked too well with the broads to be honest, but I (I mean Sinatra) usually ends up picking the more expensive, smoother tasting smoke over the 'lucky deal fiver for $11,' so the method isn't a totally ineffective.

Good for you Dapperdan. Even as a Jew, I (and a vast majority of my fellow Jews) have no problem with signs of faith. There is no "bad" religion as long as the premise is the celebration of our creator's work.
Whether you are celebrating the Christian messiah, the prophet Muhammed, Buddah or any of hundreds of representations of the creator...it is never a bad thing.

The only dangerous belief is the belief that ours is the only right religion. That is the root cause of almost all the world's conflicts today.

I help my kids place an angel on the tree. I buy them little cross necklaces and we keep a menorah and have a passover seder. My catholic wife makes a killer matzoh ball soup. If I lived next door to you I would help you build a bigger cross as well.

Rayder....I like you. You think, act, and write not only globally, but multiculturally. Good person you must be.

I think Hog is partially right. Some people live in gated communities because the love the idea of those covenants. They are enamored with the idea of order and control. They particularly like to quote the rules and enforce them in their most arcane applications. Read your community rule book. If you aren't breaking any rules then your neighbor can take a flying f*** at a rolling donut!

Praise the Lord! Adroomi is still around! Nice to see you again!

Dan, "Christ"mas is for Christians...some write "X-"mas...whichever way you say it, it all leads us back to the cross. But Christmas is the celebration of His birth...maybe a manger scene or the Star of Bethlehem (which must have been incredible to see) is more appropriate.

Save the big cross display for Easter...that'll really get their panties in a twist!Just my .2cents

Private property, freedom of religion, the right to free speech...God blessed American, now let's bless Him!

Christians = No Fear, or Fear Not as the bumper sticker says...
