On YOUR freaking dime!!!!

and then does it again a WEEK later!!!!

While we're TRILLIONS in debt...at war...watching our nation turned into junk bond status he really NEEDS another vacation? I'm not talking about all the golfing he's been doing...or the pick up basketball games at the White House...Nooooo, we're talking about hopping on Air Force One and kickin' it Robert! Sorry...he's OUT OF TOUCH! Stop giving the guy cover. Look at him for what he's doing and what he's done...holy crap it's like saying "Hey look at the Nero guy on the fiddle he's making some really sweet music" as Rome is burning!!!!

How many vacations is enough?

How many have you been on since he's been President?

I'm willing to bet that he's got you beat by a 1/3!

DrMaddVibe wrote:

I don't care how many times over he has vacationed since getting elected. That is irrelevant, unless the vacations jeopardize the country.

Nor do I mind my tax dollars paying for any President's or family members' secure travel. There are rules and laws regarding that. Compliance is all I care about when it comes to ripping on any President and his/her family members' secure travel.

Sorry. I am sticking to one single subject here and just can't get irate over it for any President.

Trump: Obama 'Takes More Vacations Than Any Human Being I've Ever Seen'

GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, FOX NEWS HOST: I wanted to talk to you about the recent news about Pakistan and China. But first I want to ask you about your tweet. I can't resist. A recent tweet from you, on your Twitter account, says, Barack Obama played golf yesterday, now he heads to a 10-day vacation in Martha's Vineyard, nice work ethic.

DONALD TRUMP: Well, the fact is, he takes more vacations than any human being I've ever seen. They used to complain about George Bush, but I understand he's already exceeded George Bush and we're not even through the year. So he likes vacation.

VAN SUSTEREN: What does -- I mean, obviously, that doesn't sound a -- send a good message if, indeed, the American people think that he likes a, quote, "vacation."

TRUMP: Well, I mean, it sends a bad message. Here we have a country that really is going to hell in a handbasket. Let's not kid ourselves. What's happening to this country is horrible. All over the world, they're talking about it. And we have a president that's constantly -- whether it's Martha's Vineyard or someplace else, constantly on vacation. I mean, all the time he's on vacation! So I think it sends a very, very bad message. We have to work in this country to bring it back.

Obama to give major jobs speech - By BEN FELLER
AP White House Correspondent

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Seeking a jolt for a wilting economy, President Barack Obama will give a major speech in early September to unveil new ideas for speeding up job growth and helping the struggling poor and middle class, a senior administration official told The Associated Press.

The president's plan is likely to contain tax cuts, jobs-boosting infrastructure ideas and steps that would specifically help the long-term unemployed. The official emphasized that all of Obama's proposals would be fresh ones, not a rehash of plans he has pitched for many weeks and still supports, including his "infrastructure bank" idea to finance construction jobs.

On a significant and related front, Obama will also present a specific plan to cut the suffocating long-term national debt and to pay for the cost of his new short-term economic ideas.

His debt proposal will be bigger than the $1.5 trillion package that a new "supercommittee" of Congress must come up with by late November.

The president will then spend his fall publicly pressing Congress to take action as the economic debate roars into its next phase. Both the economic ideas and the plan to pay for them will be part of Obama's speech, although the address will focus mainly on the jobs components.

The president's speech is expected right after the Sept. 5 Labor Day holiday.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity because Obama has not yet disclosed his plans.

No final decisions on the economic package have been made.

Seeking re-election in a dispiriting economic time for the nation, Obama's rollout plan allows him to come into September swinging after one of the roughest periods of his presidency.

Obama has hinted about new economic ideas for days as the Republican presidential contenders take whacks as his record. Obama's economic team has been hashing out the new package since he and Congress struck a last-minute debt deal in late July to prevent a debilitating government default.

Obama has been rumbling through the Midwest all week, lobbying the locals along the way to help him pressure a divided Congress into working with him. He has one day of his bus tour left on Wednesday before returning to Washington and heading on a vacation with his family.

Come September, Obama will try to reframe the jobs debate and press lawmakers to act on his ideas. And, since he is almost sure to face political opposition from Republicans, particularly the leadership of the House, he is already preparing to lobby the American public for support if Congress tosses his ideas aside.

As the leader of the country, Obama is under unparalleled pressure to start showing more economic progress. His own job is expected to depend on it.

Nearly 14 million people are unemployed. Many millions more have given up looking for jobs or haven't found a way to move from part-time to full-time work.

The administration official would not offer details about the tax cuts Obama is likely to propose for the middle class.

They are expected to be separate from the extension of the payroll tax cut for employees that Obama has lobbied for by the day. Obama also has promoted a familiar list of other ideas, including patent reform and three major trade deals. And he has pushed for longer benefits for the chronically unemployed.

As for debt reduction, Obama is trying to have some say over the highly influential committee charged with recommending major changes fast.

That 12-person panel of Republicans and Democrats will start work in September on coming up with - by Nov. 23 - $1.5 trillion in savings over the coming decades. If not, or if Congress fails to approve the committee's plans, automatic spending cuts that both parties oppose would kick in across the government.

Obama's plan will be bigger. By how much isn't clear, but he has already envisioned $4 trillion in cuts over a slightly longer period of time.

He was in serious talks with House Speaker John Boehner during the recent, wrenching talks over a similar big package, between $3 trillion and $4 trillion. And those talks had included the potential for economic help like the payroll tax cut extension; Obama's new plan is likely to follow similar form.

Without offering any specifics about his plans, the president has been telling audiences he will get detailed in September, and then fight it out.🐴 🐴 🐴

"My attitude is, get it done," he said in one Iowa town hall on Monday. "And if they (lawmakers) don't get it done, then we'll be running against a Congress that's not doing anything for the American people, and the choice will be very stark and will be very clear.".....as opposed to his ram it down your f'n throat ObamaCare, Porkulus and the junk bond slide??? Please...Doing nothing is a F'n UPGRAYYDE!!! PLEASE DO MORE NOTHING OWEBUMMA! YES YOU CAN!!! PLEASE GO ON ANOTHER VACATION TOO YOU WORTHLESS POS!!!!

The economy has rebounded from a deep recession Obama inherited, but growth and hopes have stalled.[frypan]

The unemployment rate is at 9.1 percent. No president in recent history has been re-elected with a jobless rate nearly that high.....I thought if we gave him all the money in the world it would never go above 8%??? Roll the tape...

Everything is fine. The speech can wait until September.

Once everyone is refreshed, we can get back to discussing more government spending, an extension of unemployment taxes, more debt, and tax increases.

Obama's State-of-the-Art Tour Bus Made in Canada

Published August 17, 2011

WASHINGTON -- President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost U.S. jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The New York Post has learned.

The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.

It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.

"That's the more luxurious model," Christine Garant of Prevost told The Post.

"When we have the Country Music Awards, we sometimes see a lot of them," she said, noting that Kid Rock, David Lee Roth and Kenny Rogers also have owned them.

Obama's new ride is equipped to carry all the baggage a president needs -- including the "football" that allows him to remotely control U.S. nuclear weapons.

Plan B for Obama family vacation
By Daniel Ruth, Times Columnist

It's merely idle speculation, but this is one of those moments when Barack Obama misses Rahm Emanuel, who once held the role as the first, uh, chop buster in the White House.

Imagine sitting around the Oval Office discussing presidential travel plans and someone says: "Hey, I've got a great idea. Let's have the president travel to the Midwest for several days talking to people about jobs, their struggles with unemployment and basically how fouled-up everything is and then POTUS can leave for his vacation on a 28-acre compound in tony Martha's Vineyard."

"Why Haversham, that's a simply bully idea. Let's do it."

Emanuel, the president's former chief of staff and the master of the well-turned phrase, likely would have responded: "Are you &%$#*& people ^%$#$@!*&%$# crazy?!?!?" Or words to that effect.

No one begrudges any president time away from the stresses and demands of the job. But the juxtaposition and timing of spending a few days in the heartland of America on a listening tour of the jobless, followed up by a fancy-pants vacation in one of the most exclusively affluent enclaves in the nation is, to put it bluntly, a really boneheaded idea.

Not to be insensitive here, but what is Obama likely to hear on his stops in Cannon Falls, Minn., or Decorah, Iowa, or Peosta, Iowa, or Atkinson, Ill., that he hasn't heard before? People are scared. They fear the loss of their jobs. They lose sleep every night worrying about being foreclosed. They see the homeless on the street and see themselves. They look into the future and don't see very much — for them.

And they see a president dropping in for a photo-op conveying an image of caring, before heading off for 10 days on the shores of Martha's Vineyard, where the struggling folks of Cannon Falls and Decorah and Peosta and Atkinson couldn't afford a cup of coffee.

This is probably why I would make for a lousy presidential adviser, or not last very long. But if I were in charge of Obama's itinerary for the next few days, here's what I would have suggested for the president's summer vacation, or as I would call it: "The Give 'Em Hell Barack Tour."

Forget the warm and fuzzy hand-holding of the jobless. They know their lives are in shambles, and the president knows it, too. They don't need a shoulder to cry on. They don't need a flowery speech. They need a job.

If the president really wanted to help people, I would have Obama crisscross the country knocking on the doors of the nation's biggest corporations and publicly demanding pledges to hire X number of people within the next 30 days.

Would this be a crass, Michael Moore-ish publicity stunt designed to burnish Obama's populist political credentials? You betcha.

If Obama wants to give some speeches, fine, but not in the middle of cornfields. I would have the president delivering his remarks, with the jobless ranks in tow, at the front doors of the likes of Boeing, Archer Daniels Midland, DuPont, Exxon Mobil and General Motors.

I'm certainly not averse to the president and his family enjoying some quality down time. During the tour of the nation, the Obama family could visit a wide variety of tourist destinations: Knott's Berry Farm, Pedro's South of the Border, Cedar Point's famous roller coasters (how appropriate) with perhaps a stop in at the Righteous Brothers Show (minus one Righteous Brother) in Branson, Mo.

We'll be having way-big fun now!

The president loves to play golf. But instead of posh country clubs, I would have the president teeing it up on public courses, such as Tampa's historic Babe Zaharias Golf Course, playing 18 holes with retirees, blue-collar workers and just plain folks. It would be a master class on the middle class.

I suppose there might be a pinch of resistance to my vacation suggestion, especially from the family quarters of the White House. Tough beans.

Obama wanted this job, and now he has it. But there is more to being president than rubbing elbows with international leaders, engaging in rhetorical flourishes and yes, even killing the world's foremost terrorist, satisfying as that was....I'd also add apologies, bowing, destroying a national AAA credit rating, sticking up for the Arab Spring, out and out just lying to the American public while adding more debt and giving away healthcare that apparently unions and businesses don't want because they're given exemptions from ObamaCare...so we got that rolling for us!!!

Being president sometimes calls for getting one's hands dirty, getting in the trenches with the little people who elected you and defending their interests.

All politicians love to extol their fighting credentials, how they are willing to fight for this, fight for that.

This summer, it would be nice to see Obama actually throw a real punch, get some blood on his fist. Now that would really impress the Martha's Vineyard crowd.
