Actually Soros was a Nazi too...ratted on others so he could make his billions. So there's more than ONE difference...but I digress...the Koch Brothers also have NEVER co-opted the destruction of a nation's economy either so they've got that as well.

DrMaddVibe wrote:

Soros was not a Nazi, that's a pathetic lie. He was a kid and a Jew under Nazi rule who, if found, would have been killed. His father hid him with a 'proper Arian family' so he would have a better chance to survive and the father in that family worked for the government.

The Koch brothers have, however, done business with Iran, you know, one of the 'axis of evil' and a state sponsor or terror?

And I hear he does not brush his teeth, either . . . . .

The only difference between the Koch bros and G. Soros is he hates america and makes them look like paupers.

Maybe. I am not even sure what they want. 2.38% (5,904 votes)

No. They have no idea how jobs are created or how a free-enterprise system works. 30.75% (76,124 votes)

Yes. These folks are right about corporate greed and what's happening to the little guy. 66.11% (163,683 votes)

Strange, and a Fox poll too.

You said you would provide proof by showing me where Soros said he was a Nazi who ratted out people so he could make his billions.

Neither video showed that. And the second one, Larouche? Are you freakin' kidding me?

You can not provide this proof because this did not happen. You are a liar.

As biographer Michael Kaufman wrote in Soros: The Life and Times of a Messianic Billionaire (page 37):

This is what actually happened. Shortly after George went to live with Baumbach, the man was assigned to take inventory on the vast estate of Mor Kornfeld, an extremely wealthy aristocrat of Jewish origin. The Kornfeld family had the wealth, wisdom, and connections to be able to leave some of its belongings behind in exchange for permission to make their way to Lisbon. Baumbach was ordered to go to the Kornfeld estate and inventory the artworks, furnishings, and other property. Rather than leave his "godson" behind in Budapest for three days, he took the boy with him. As Baumbach itemized the material, George walked around the grounds and spent time with Kornfeld's staff. It was his first visit to such a mansion, and the first time he rode a horse. He collaborated with no one and he paid attention to what he understood to be his primary responsibility: making sure that no one doubted that he was Sandor Kiss.

You looked at the headlines and stopped the player. You didn't even listen to what Soros said from his own mouth. You call me a "liar" but you've shown the entire board what a close-minded little weasel you really are.

He did not say what you are saying he said. YOU are a liar. The text superimposed over the video says something like that, but he is not saying what you are saying or what the text is saying. He was 14 years old. How the f*ck did he make his billions then? How the f*ck was he an actual Nazi? He is a liberal, a very rich liberal, who uses his money for liberal causes. It is because of this that these things are distorted and lied about, and you are falling for it.

I did stop the player on the Larouche one, you bet. Nut case. The video started out by saying he was an economic terrorist trained by the bank of england. Seriously? I don't need to sit through 17 minutes of that to know it's a bunch of sh*t.

Joseph Stiglitz:
Before talking about economics, I want to say something about democracy. In July, I was in Spain, talking to the “indignados” there, the protesters. There, I could use a bullhorn. I didn’t have to go through this echo chamber. I realize the pedagogy of having you repeat what I say is very valuable, but it makes the whole process much longer. The fact that you are not allowed to use a megaphone on a Sunday is outrageous! We have too many regulations stopping democracy and not enough regulations stopping Wall Street from misbehaving. You should have the right peacefully and demonstrate your views and not be arrested and not be sprayed with pepper spray.

So now I want to talk a little bit about what I said in Spain, and then about the banks. The protests there are called the “indignados,” and I said, “You are right to be indignant.” The fact is, the system is not working right. It is not right that we have so many people without jobs when we have so many needs that we have to fulfill. It’s not right that we are throwing people out of their houses when we have so many homeless people.

Our financial markets have an important role to play. They’re supposed to allocate capital and manage risk, but they’ve misallocated capital and created risk. We are bearing the cost of their misdeeds. There’s a system where we’ve socialized losses and privatized gains. That’s not capitalism! That’s not a market economy. That’s a distorted economy, and if we continue with that, we won’t succeed in growing, and we won’t succeed in creating a just society.

I looked up the 'clip' you posted. It wasn't a 'clip' it was the entire episode.

Secondly, I've seen that episode, I will rewatch it. You can't blame just the Clinton administration, Greenspan was a Rand follower going back to the 50's and was a champion of the right for decades. Democrats like Clinton and Obama have and are following right wing economic policies, as that Frontline episode reveals. It favors less regulation and Wall Street. This started big under Reagan and continues to this day to the disadvantage of the 99%.

So you are actually agreeing with me and other liberals, you just won't admit it and rather just blame it on whatever Democrat you find when everyone in the Republican party with the exception of Paul and nearly everyone in the Democratic party are sucking at the same damn teat.
