An “Occupy Cleveland” protester tells police she was raped in her tent over the weekend.

Cleveland police are investigating an alleged sexual assault incident Saturday at the “Occupy Cleveland” rally involving a 19-year-old female student from Parma.

According to police reports, the 19-year-old student was instructed by “Occupy Cleveland” personnel to “share a tent with the suspect due to a shortage of tents.” The suspect identified himself as “Leland” to the woman. The woman told police that after she had thought the suspect went to sleep in his own bed, she slept in a sleeping bag provided to her by the rally.

The student went to school Monday and told a teacher about her sexual assault incident in Public Square — which is being classified as “kidnapping/rape” — prompting the teacher to immediately contact the authorities.


So, Wall Street is the only entity screwing everybody ?

Another Possible Rape at Occupy Rally, 14-Year Old Girl in Dallas

After a report of a sexual assault Cleveland two weekends ago at their version of the Occupy Wall Street protest, we now have another alleged rape in Dallas, Texas, this time the victim is a 14 year old girl. The Occupy Dallas rally is being investigated by police concerning these new charges. The young girl reportedly told organizers that she was 19 years old. In this case, she claims to have been raped by a 20 year old man. However, the girl also told police that she had sexual relations with several other men as well. Police took the girl into custody when someone reported to them that the girl matched a flyer which was circulating about a missing teenage girl.

So this particular case may be a bit different in several ways than the one in Cleveland. Aside from the fact that it involves a minor, whom apparently ran away from home, we also have the issue that she was sexually active with others, presumably with her consent. Which, of course, raises the issue of whether the organizers of these protest rallies are under some obligation to check people′s I.D.s or keep accurate records of where everyone is sleeping and with whom? In the Cleveland incident, the victim was actually assigned a tent by organizers, with a total stranger who then allegedly raped her. Rich Coffman, one of the leaders of Occupy Dallas, said that they will impose a 10pm curfew and check the I.D.s of anyone walking about the grounds after curfew.

There has been a steady flow of crime reports streaming in from nearly every Occupy gathering. At the main one in New York City, theft is rampant. Last week, we learned of another sexual crime wave at the Occupy Toronto rally, where a man allegedly was raiding tents to smell and fondle the feet of sleeping women. This, aside from the usual drug violations present at all of the protest rallies, as well as other local ordinances, should serve as a lesson to police and city officials who seem reluctant to act in bringing these demonstrations to an end.

All allegations of rape are serious and should be investigated, at all times, anywhere. Anyone who rapes another person should be prosecuted and sentenced by a jury of their peers.
