The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs WV, the only really incredible 5 Star on the East Coast. Go to thier web sight and check it out. It's absolutely incredible. Deep in the appalacian mountains, 4 Golf Courses, Horses, mountains, close enough to go white water rafting down the New or Gauley Rivers, Sking within an hour or two depending on how much money you want to spend, rock climbing, nature trails, or just be spoiled rotten by a staff that caters to the needs of the rich and famous in a secluded hide away where fresh skulptures grace the halls of Marble and the food is prepared by some of the best chefs in the world. Yes it's a little more than four hour flight but not much more.

oops sorry Waldo didn't read your post first....great minds think alike....I'm from W.S.S. so it's a special little place to me...since two of us mentioned it..maybe he will decide to go there, hey it was your idea first...and a darn good one....

Well, looks like we're going to Seattle. The Mrs. heard about a wine and Seafood festival at the end of Feb. No ISOMS for me, but can prolly get in a little Salmon fishing. Never been to Seattle, so it'll be interesting.

Too bad about Seattle!

I would recommend Islamorada FL (middle keys) hands down.

Leave Hoilday Isle marina, take a left turn and your into world class sailfishing, dolphin, tuna, wahoo, & snapper. Take a right and you get into tarpon, permit, redfish, etc.

There are lovely accomodations, and Key West aint that far for your shopping/barhopping pleasures.
