I understand what you are saying... if I may, and I'm being honest, not a smarta$$, can I offer a few suggestions?

There's a couple of things that need to be uderstood or this whole thing does seem very bad...

1)Everyone assumes that you have seen the fake terrorist photo that was posted the other day, where terrorist took a doll that looked like a soldier and tried to pass it off as being a real soldier, threatening to cut it's head off if we didn't comply... if you haven't than I can understand your feelings about this... If you have, than on to #2.

2) Yes you did simply say that you didn't think it was funny, and this is a great place for people to share there opinion, but people do get offended by the way that you do it. You simply said that you didn't think it was funny, but you also go beyond that and say why others shouldn't think that it's funny. You usually throw in some grusem story to sober the situation. It offends people when you say what they should or shouldn't be feeling.

This is just my humble opinion, and I could be wrong, but nonetheless I really don't mean any offence by it.

Probably about the same as one of the family members of the four dead guards that were tortured and publicly mutiliated would feel if I burned up a small doll and hung it upside down by it's foot from a bridge.

I hear what your saying, but you have to understand really good people have died in everyway (taking a ****, riding a bike, having sex, roller skating). Maybe it's just me but you live your whole life anyway you want, and in the end it's always the same you die. I've been in firefights that I truly didn't think I'd make it out of, and unless we lost someone we usually ending up laughing about the terrible situation. I do agree with you my sense of humor is a little out of sink but that's just to bad. I truly disagree with you on the whole if we beheaded a terrorists on TV it would make the situation worse. I think it might for a short time, but once they knew we would do it over and over until they were all gone all this would end very quickly. If you happen to notice these so called big wig terrorists want nothing to do with the dieing for the cause bullsh&t. They are cowards they shot and run they can't fight us head to head. Hell during the Iraq election they strapped a bomb on a mentally retarded kid. I tell you want a bunch of men were up against. ... The guy's got a freakin' Perdomo band around his head...LOL! How has nobody commented on that yet? I don't think anybody has died from perdomo suffication (though I tried last night on Nicks 40th birthday) so I think it's safe to have a good laugh. LOL!

i'm actually with you on this one. i stopped looking at this thread because it actually kind of bothered me. i only looked today because i noticed that there were so many responses. i was wondering what all the responses were about.

i have nothing against the folks laughing about it. i just found it a bit bothersome -- not the laughing, but the subject matter. i couldn't laugh, and i decided to simply ignore it. it brings about too many unpleasant thoughts. those beheadings really got to me. i never watched a video of them because i knew that would screw me up even more.

I know what you guys are saying it bothers me when I'm in Toys R Us and I see G.I. Joe action figures. I mean just knowing that over the past 100 years so many solders have died, and yet they still sell combat figurines so that children can play with them. It truly is amazing the companies can be so damn insensitive. It also saddens me when I see all these damn Barbie figures just think how many women have puked their guts out just trying to look like Barbie. I have to admit I really crossed the line here with taking Zorro hostage. I never took into a count the feelings that you guys would have when you saw a plastic toy tied up with a cigar band on his head. Listen I'm going to go make sure Zorro has on ergonomically shaped restraints that way he won't be in to much pain. Upon your first outrage on this series of pictures I moved him to a penthouse suite just so you wouldn't say I was torturing him. I have after further review realized that the suite is not good enough, I will be sending him on a cruise around the world so he has a good time being a hostage. I hope this makes his living conditions up to snuff for all the weak hearted out there. Gunflint

i'm not being critical of the post or anyone lauging at it. i'm just telling folks that i found it a bit bothersome FOR ME. i didn't laugh. i'm not going to laugh. i just don't think it's that funny, and it reminds me of too much of something that really angers me. i'm not sure that warrants the kind of response you gave. maybe it wasn't intended for me. i don't know. hell, there's a lot i don't know. i just think you're being a bit defensive. i meant no harm. i just wanted it to be known that there were others that had similar thoughts to adroomi. i just try not to create conflict too much. it's hard to tell what people are really thinking based on a message post. i've pissed off enough people here in the past. i never really meant to. i try extra hard to avoid that these days.
