If there is anything Holder and Obama want to do more of in a second administration is to arm more drug armies and kill more US agents, personally if they have to. Even though these programs started in 2006, Obama and Holder ran them from the beginning and made them more sinister the second they took over with their evil regime. Any information related to it prior to Holder's swearing in, not important, don't need to look at it, didn't happen, what?

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Wednesday voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress despite a last-minute intervention by President Obama.

By a vote of 23 to 17 after nearly six hours of tense discussion, the bipartisan committee voted for contempt over the Justice Department's decision to withhold documents related to Operation Fast and Furious that were subpoenaed by the committee in their investigation of the failed gunwalking operation.

The votes were sharply divided along partisan lines with all Republicans voting for and all Democrats voting against contempt. The measure now moves to the full House for a vote.

Moments before the hearing, Holder, who was not present at the hearing, delivered a letter to committee chair Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) informing the committee that Obama exerted executive privilege to withhold the documents in question.

"Although we are deeply disappointed that the Committee appears intent on proceeding with a contempt vote, the Department remains willing to work with the Committee to reach a mutually satisfactory resolution of the outstanding issues," Deputy Attorney General James Cole wrote in a letter to Issa.

But the president's intervention did not stop Issa from proceeding with Wednesday's vote.

"This untimely assertion by the Justice Department falls short of any reason to delay today's proceedings," Issa said prior to the vote.

Many committee members Wednesday invoked the name of Brian Terry, a border patrol agent killed in Dec. 2010. At the scene of that crime, guns sold in the Fast and Furious operation were recovered. The operation overall was designed to track firearm sales from the United States to Mexican drug cartels, but the government lost track of a majority of the guns sold in the operation.

"Remember the promises that were made in this room to Terry's family. We would not rest until we got to the bottom of this," Rep. Blake Farenthold (R-Tex.) said Wednesday.

"Have the guts, I hope we have the guts and the perseverance to get to the bottom of this," Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said, encouraging the government to help get to the bottom of why Fast and Furious failed. "It's not about Attorney General Eric Holder, it's about the Justice Department and justice in America," he added, invoking Terry's name.

Just prior to the vote, Rep. Ann Marie Buerkle (R-N.Y.) read a statement released by Terry's family, which read, in part:

For more than 18 months we have been asking our federal government for justice and accountability. The documents sought by the House Oversight Committee and associated with Operation Fast and Furious should be produced and turned over to the committee. Our son lost his life protecting this nation, and it is very disappointing that we are now faced with an administration that seems more concerned with protecting themselves rather than revealing the truth behind Operation Fast and Furious.

Republicans in Congress have been leading the push to find out what the government knew about the operation and when and why the effort failed.

Issa and Holder met Tuesday night under the auspices of reaching an agreement that would potentially delay the contempt vote. But following the meeting, Issa said Holder merely confirmed the Justice Department would not be delivering the documents and that the vote would proceed as scheduled.

Holder accused Issa of playing politics.

"Given the extraordinary nature of the offer that we made and given the extraordinary way in which we have shared materials to date that I think we are actually involved more in political gamesmanship as opposed to trying to get the information they say they want," Holder said.

Discussion of Holder's contempt vote was sharply divided along partisan lines on the bipartisan committee Wednesday. Ranking Rep. Elijah Cummings of Maryland (D), defended Holder prior to the vote and accused Issa of refusing to compromise. "It seems to me you had no interest of resolving this issue," Cummings said to Issa.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.) said she was "offended personally" by Issa calling Holder a liar. "It's disrespectful," Maloney said. "Where have we degenerated to?" Maloney defended Holder, saying he is "prohibited by law from producing" the documents in question.

"I want to apologize to the American people for yet another show of 'gotcha politics' in this body," Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) stated.

But Republicans strongly disagreed.

"Thus far, the cooperation has not been forthcoming," Issa said of the Justice Department. "We and the American people need answers sooner, not later."

"Mr. Holder is either not telling the truth or he's grossly incompetent," Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) said Wednesday. Labrador once again called for Holder's resignation.

House Speaker John Boehner and Majority Leader Eric Cantor announced following Wednesday's vote that they plan schedule the full House vote for the week of June 25.

When Barack Obama claimed executive privilege today in an effort to protect Attorney General Eric Holder from a contempt-of-Congress charge in the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal,he may have inadvertently exposed himself as an accessory to murder.

For eight months,Holder has been stonewalling congressional investigators looking into the Justice Department scandal responsible for the deaths of at least two U.S. law enforcement officers and untold numbers of civilians on either side of the border with Mexico.

Holder has repeatedly lied to Congress, besides withholding the documents investigators have subpoenaed.

When asked earlier this year when he first learned about Fast and Furious, Holder claimed about two weeks earlier. Later, congressional investigators found documents proving he had known about it for at least a year and a half longer.

Holder also claimed the Bush administration started the program and that his predecessor knew all about it. When pressed on that point by Sen. Charles Grassley,Holder and the Justice Department retracted the claim.

Holder then offered the House Judiciary Committee,headed by Rep. Darrell Issa,a deal. Holder would provide all the documents the committee demanded for a pledge to close the investigation.

Issa,of course,reacted incredulously. What would be the point of an investigation if the results were predetermined by the target of the investigation?What investigator in his right mind would accept such a deal?

Then Obama stepped in and claimed executive privilege.

Now understand what this means. Obama cannot claim executive privilege for any member of his administration. He can only do so for himself and his inner circle of advisers,and should never do so unless it’s a matter of national security.

What Obama did,in apparent desperation,was to expose his own personal complicity in this scandal, making him,quite possibly,an accessory to murder.

Can you imagine how big this scandal is and how far it reaches for the administration to take such a gamble?

Even the once-friendly media are seeing through this charade.

Obama sniffed in 2007 how unreasonable it was for George W. Bush to claim executive privilege regarding the dismissal of a handful of Justice Department lawyers. Bill Clinton fired ALL of his federal prosecutors the day he took office. Not a single Democrat blinked.

But now we’re talking about a scandal in which people,Americans,law enforcement officers and,no doubt, Mexican and U.S. citizens,were murdered by weapons purposely placed into the hands of the drug cartels in Mexico and the U.S.

Those old enough will recall how Democrats were outraged by the claim of executive privilege by Richard Nixon during Watergate. I was one of them. But no one died in Watergate. Fast and Furious is about murder –and complicity by the U.S. Justice Department. Now we learn,by Obama’s own admission,he was somehow involved.

But it gets worse. Obama must now explain the following: Fifteen months ago,Holder pledged full cooperation in the congressional investigation into Fast and Furious. He didn’t mean it,of course. But he pledged it any way. Now Obama has claimed executive privilege. That,of course,raises the question of what happened in the last 15 months to make this,suddenly,a state secret to be guarded by executive privilege.

I can only hope and pray that Republicans in Congress stand united in demanding the truth be told to the American people and that justice be served. In addition,though unlikely,it might be a good time for some Democrats in Congress to realize that they,too,are participating in one of the most evil,immoral,illegal cover-ups in American political history. If they have any conscience at all,it might be a good time to rediscover it.

Obama is going down for this –whether it’s in the election in November or before. Democrats should start deciding now if they want to go down with him or stand up for principle as many Republicans did during the darkest days of Watergate.

Mexico has repeatedly expressed concern regarding the smuggling of weapons from
the US into Mexico, which the Government of asserts has fueled the violence of
drug cartels. See, e.g., "US Guns Behind Cartel Killings in Mexico," Washington
Post, 10/29/07, A01 (noting the 9/ 24 assassination of a Mexican state police officer, and
an attack on the same day on a federal police office in Tijuana, and stating: "The highpowered
guns used in both incidents on the evening of Sept. 24 undoubtedly came from
the United States, say police here [in Mexico], who estimate that 100 percent of drugrelated
killings are conunitted with smuggled US weapons.")

In response these concerns, DOJ' s ATF has committed significant resources to
address the issue of gun smuggling into Mexico. has three attaches in City,
and two TDY in Monterrey. During this past week, more than 30 ATF agents and
analysts have been meeting at the El Paso Intelligence Center ("EPIC") as part of the
Southwest Border Initiative's "Project Gunrunner." ATF's goals are to coordinate Federal
law enforcement activities on the U.S. side of the border involving gun smuggling, and to
work cooperatively with its counterparts in Mexico to improve information sharing,
assist them in improving their training and technological capacity, and increase the
number and quality of firearms trace requests from Mexico. One critical part of effort
is to for the USG fund Spanish E-trace, which would allow Mexican law enforcement
submit firearms trace requests to ATF's National Tracing Center.

Of particular importance, A TF has recently worked jointly with Mexico on the firstever
attempt to have a controlled delivery of weapons being smuggled into Mexico by a
major arms trafficker. While the first attempts at this controlled have not been
successful, the investigation is and ATF would like to expand the possibility of
such investigations and controlled deliveries- since only then will it be possible investigate an entire smuggling network, rather than arresting simply a single smuggler.
To that end, it is essential that a Mexican unit be assigned to work with ATF regard. A TF' s attache in Mexico City has General Medina Mora attempted controlled delivery, and stressed importance such a vetted unit being
assigned. ·

Last week it was reported that the State Department and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were deeply involved in the scandal known as Operation Fast and Furious, or Project Gunwalker. Today, however, new evidence has surfaced indicating that not only was Hillary deeply involved in the scandal but was one of the masterminds behind it. According to investigative citizen journalist Mike Vanderboegh, sources close to the development of the Gunwalker scheme state that early on, Hillary and her trusted associated at State, Andrew J. Shapiro, devised at least part of the framework of what would later become Operation Fast and Furious. It was Shapiro who first described the details of the proposed scheme early in 2009 just after the Obama Administration took office. Vanderboegh relates the following:

My sources say that as Hillary’s trusted subordinate, it was Shapiro who first described to the Secretary of State the details of what has become the Gunwalker Scandal. The precise extent to which Hillary Clinton‘s knowledge of, and responsibility for, the Gunwalker Plot, lies within the memories of these two men, Shapiro and Steinberg, sources say. The sources also express dismay that the Issa committee is apparently restricting itself to the Department of Justice and not venturing further afield. The House Foreign Affairs Committee, they say, needs to summon these two men and their subordinates —especially at the Mexico Desk at State —and question them under oath as to what Hillary Clinton knew about the origins of the Gunwalker Scandal and when she knew it. There is one other thing those sources agree upon. The CIA, they say, knows “everything” about the “Mexican hat dance” that became the Gunwalker Scandal.

The ‘Steinberg’ mentioned in the quote above is Hillary Clinton’s former Deputy Secretary of State, who was appointed directly by Barack Obama and was considered from the start to be an ‘Obama man’ whose objective was to carry out the wishes of the President in the State Department. Hillary had said of Steinberg,

Clinton said Steinberg had been a “fixture” at meetings with the National Security Council (NSC) and frequently represented the US State Department at the White House.

That statement is key. Hillary herself stayed out of all meetings dealing with strategy concerning the euphemism the Administration used to designate Gunwalker, ‘strategy meetings on Mexico and the problem of drug and gun trafficking.’ Hillary’s absence would give the impression that she had no connection to the scheme while making sure that her views were represented by Steinberg and Shapiro, both of whom were fully complicit with the details that developed concerning how to pad statistics on U.S. guns in Mexico. According to sources, Hillary was obsessed with gun statistics that would prove that ’90% of the firearms used by Mexican criminals come from the United States.’ As previouly reported, that meme, repeated incessantly by Democratic Senators, Barack Obama, certan members of the ATF, Janet Napolitano, and Hillary Clinton was patently and blatantly false. The fact that they all knew it was false is borne out by the lengths to which each of the above named co-conspirators went to attempt to ‘prove’ that the 90% figure was true. Again, Vanderboegh relates the following:

My sources say that this battle of the “statistics” was taken very seriously by all players —the White House, State and Justice. Yet, WHY was this game of statistics so important to the players? If some weapons from the American civilian market were making it to Mexico into the hand of drug gang killers that was bad enough. What was the importance of insisting that it was 90 percent, 80 percent, or finally 70 percent? Would such statistics make any difference to the law enforcement tactics necessary to curtail them? No. This statistics mania is similar to the focus on “body counts” in Vietnam. Yet if Vietnam body counts were supposed to be a measure of how we were winning that war, the focus on the 90 percent meme was certainly not designed to be a measure of how we were winning the war against arming the cartels, but rather by what overwhelming standard we were LOSING. Why? Recall what the whistleblower ATF agents told us right after this scandal broke in the wake of the death of Brian Terry: “ATF source confirms ‘walking’ guns to Mexico to ‘pad’ statistics.”

Thus, from the beginning the scheme was to pad statistics on U.S. guns in Mexico in order to be in a strengthened position to call for gun bans and strict gun control at a time when it was politically unpopular. Further, the scheme would involve a made-up statistic, out of thin air–90%–which then had to be proved by using civilian gun retailers along the southern border as unsuspecting pawns to walk U.S. guns into Mexico by ATF agents, straw purchasers, and others with connections to Mexican drug cartels. And the evidence points to the fact that Hillary Clinton was one of the original Administration officials who was ‘in the loop’ on the scheme from the very beginning. The House of Representatives voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal contempt for refusing to turn over documents tied to the Fast and Furious gun-running sting.
The 255-67 vote marked the first time in American history that the head of the Justice Department has been held in contempt by Congress. Almost every House Republican backed the measure, along with nearly 20 Democrats.
House members are also expected to pass a civil contempt measure later in the day.
