Find a few of these repeated statements where Obama blamed Bush by name as an excuse. He hasn't done that.

As for an earlier remark about "inheriting" the crisis??
That's not entirely accurate since he should have known what he was getting into prior to campaigning for the position. You don't fight tooth and nail to achieve something, only to complain that you've inherited all sorts of problems.
Well, maybe you do.
But a person with character and a sense of personal responsibility doesn't.

Magnitude may have been too ambiguous.
Frequency?
Incessant?
Perpetual?

Further to the point, Romney never slammed Jane Swift while he was governor. To be fair, they're both supposedly republicans. But this is not an insignificant tidbit.
Obama is our sitting president. And he points fingers at the "mess he inherited" nearly every time he speaks.
Even after 3.5 years.

You and I won't agree on much, but if you don't recognize facts when they're presented then the discussion has run its course.
Saying Obama has never blamed Bush is like saying Bush never said anything that sounded dumb or that Clinton was a faithful husband or Nixon loved the press.

No need for you to go over your position, I understand it.

Who said 'obama has never blamed bush'? I agreed that he has said he inherited a mess several times when discussing the bad economy, never blaming Bush by name as you have claimed, and when getting specific has said he does not want the blame for the numbers for the first fiscal year when his policies were not in place, in other words, when Bush's polices were still in place and the numbers sucked hard. Since then they have been steadily improving, much like what you are saying happened in MA.

Now show these incessant, perpetual, frequent occasions where president obama did this. You have yet to provide one example. Your perception is that is what he has done because of the media you consume, not because of what he has actually done.

Let's say there's a youth basketball game. And with 2 seconds left little Billy takes a shot to win the game, but his hand is hit slightly by the defender. No foul is called.

After the game, Billy says "I would have made that shot if the foul was called".

Q: is this blaming the refs?
Because according to you, since he didn't say the word "ref", he isn't.

Obama is incapable of looking forward. He feels compelled to remind us about the state of the economy prior to his oath.
Likewise, he also blames the GOP for everything that is wrong in DC.
He conveniently forgets the 2 years of democratic control he enjoyed.

In a nutshell, he completely devoid of character.
Don't confuse personality with character. The two are quite different despite what your media sources reveal.

What? The blaming Bush frequently, incessently and by name thing is what your saying, not me. You defend it. lol, trying to make me defend your argument. that's a good one.

I'll let you in on the secret. This way you can recognize it when it happens next time, which will be in a few days, because with strategies like this, you gotta keep it fresh to keep the huddled masses on their toes and mad at something.

Someone finds something to pick on, it could be anyone, anywhere, but there are a lot of people paid to do this. It could be anything that sounds ominous in the scary categories that are all classified under 'anti-american'. Examples: Abortions for sex selection, czars, Michelle Obama's staff, the firing of District Attorneys, etc. If it makes a splash online, the clicks and chatter is picking up, then drudge gets the siren out, the national media picks it up and it's the worst it's ever been, or it's never been done before, etc etc.

Now, no one ever really cared about the first lady's staff, or talked about how many DA's the President fires, so at first people are like OMG! That's outrageous! And there is much outrage, for a time. And by the time that people start realizing that the previous administrations had the same number of staff, czars, ideas or done the same exact thing, like this topic here, we've moved on to some other outrage and the meme has stuck with those people and it becomes fact. Some people still think we found WMD in Iraq and that Saddam was behind 9/11.

Now, just as the saying you can never go home again implies, no two situations are exactly identical. Obama has addressed this situation many more times than Romney since he has been the president for over 3 years now, but the way the media presented the situation is what you are remembering, not what he actually did. If you were to actually look for the quotes you think are out there, you would notice that.

To prove the point further, the Bush administration went to great lengths to absolve themselves of responsibility for 'problems' when they could find ways to blame Clinton. Did it a lot actually, but there wasn't a national outcry by the 'liberal' media about this 'crucial' issue.

For example:

"But a senior administration official says the budgetary problems stem from what he called inadequate defense, intelligence and homeland security resources that were handed down from Clinton." in 2008!

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/28/2009.deficit/

When the economy was dipping early in Bush's presidency Hannity was calling it 'Clinton's economy', you know when the economy sucked. I'm sure you have heard the term 'Clinton recession' which the republicans claimed happened during bush's term.

"That's why the president, in almost every speech, tries to remind voters he inherited a recession." John King CNN 9-18-02

"When I took office, our economy was beginning a recession," Bush said in a speech at a Mississippi high school. "Then our economy was hit by terrorists. Then our economy was hit by corporate scandals. But I'm certain of this: We won't let fear undermine our economy and we're not going to let fraud undermine it either." Bush 2002

http://www.hhs.gov/news/speech/2004/191004.html

For not getting Bin Laden before 9/11. However the fact that Bush didn't get him for 7 years when he had chances is unfair to say and Obama actually killing him is spiking the football.

For 9/11 itself.

For the Iraq invasion itself by saying Clinton proposed regime change in Iraq so Bush was doing what Clinton had wanted to do. (seriously, it was said by many including Rudy)

Failures with North Korean diplomacy in 2005 was blamed on Clinton.

The failure of the housing market was blamed on Clinton, still is by people here on this board, because of the way he 'forced' banks to lend money to people who couldn't afford it. Hell, they went as far back as Carter for that, skipping over 12 years of Republican presidencies.

The internet bubble bursting, all Clinton's fault.

The continued decay of the sexual morality in the country is still blamed on the Monica BJ.

Hell, Regan blamed Carter in his SOTU address in 82. Clinton blamed Bush and Reagan. And this will continue.

This list is FAR from exhaustive, there are scores of quotes from Bush administration officials and Bush himself. Bush as far as I know didn't say "Clinton's fault' by name, just like Obama hasn't, it's not something a president does, the underlings do that.

It's nothing new, Obama is not doing more than anyone else, it's just that the media you are consuming is making it a big freakin' deal.

Conservatives complain constantly about how the 'media' manipulates the masses and how stupid they are for not seeing it. So conversations like this are amusing. It's interesting to see people who think they are above it all when they are demonstrating behavior that obviously shows the opposite.

It's kinda cute, but it shows the total disconnect in this country between the 'sides'.

We are obviously talking past each other. I've addressed what you said a number of times and the crucial part of your argument, and where it would fall apart completely, is your claim that Obama is doing this all the time in some different and nefarious way and have only shown your opinion on how you 'feel' on the issue with no facts to back it up at all. No quotes that show how different and wrong Obama is than everyone else on this subject from him. You sure could find thousands showing other people talking about it though, and that's where the idea is coming from TG. Try not to let your dislike of me cloud your judgement dude.

Uh, Romney was governor for 4 years.

As for the gibberish that follows?
I know the talking heads will always point fingers and mimic the thought-du-juor.
That's not what I'm saying.

I don't care who blames Bush as long as it's not the President himself.
Obama continues to this day to talk about the past. Be it the recession, or the war efforts, etc.

You could argue that there is a lot of truth with the blame game.
Bush did hand over a struggling economy.
To say otherwise proves lack of intelligence.
To remind us constantly proves lack of character.

This is perhaps why you and I are so far apart on this matter, for we obviously view character from different perspectives. Mine comes from a position of personal responsibility, whereas most liberals find the term "personal responsibility" to be contemptuous.
Starting with our sitting President who regards law breaking slackers more highly than disgruntled tax payers.

Or is that something the media told me to say?

Well, this has been illuminating to say the least. You've continually shifted goal posts, from repeatedly blaming Bush by name to it's just a lack of character for the President to even mention it and have not produced one quote backing up your claims. You are expressing perception and feeling and have never addressed the central issue I repeat every time I've posted on this thread. It's pathological. There are even examples of other presidents and administrations doing the same thing, both R and D and yet somehow Obama is the 'worst' when there is absolutely no evidence of the sort. I appreciate the passion, but the lack of logic is enough to just dismiss you as a fringe kook kool aid drinker to be honest, and it's in the process of defending Romney of all people, a person who has taken every side of every issue at one point or another. Obama is no perfect person by any stretch, but he's not the devil and not everything he does is the worst ever or the end of the world for crying out loud. All this crying wolf and 'news alerts' are damaging brains. Let's bring back the color coded scare the people terror warning system. That should send the right wing nuts into stormtrooper mode.
