I am not going to even try to explain a 2,400 page bill that no one completely understands, but I can tell you that there is no free government healthcare in this bill.

I'm just throwing this out there as a prediction...

Americans, the majority of whom are opposed to Obamacare, will be suckered by a bunch of smooth-talking "tea party republicans" into voting for them with the promise of a repeal of the bill. Then, once in office, they will tweak a few things but the majority of the legislation will stand.

Have NEVER seen a tax removed after it is implemented - right or wrong. In Allegheny County of PA they are STILL charging 1% Sales Tax for the Johnstown flood - which happened in a totally different County and in 1889!!!

We're fücked! Once again lawmakers institute a law and tax they themselves are exempt from!!!

So true. Here in Taxholechewschitz, we are still stuck paying a "temporary" income tax hike that is decades old.

HD, Jojo, ZRX, or anybody else who is not an ideologue & willing to be open-minded and not just regurgitate what Boner, Limberger, and company spew- I am in the incipient stages of investigation but it appears that if a small business drops its coverage & pays the penalty for Obamacare, it would first have to qualify under Medicaid??? Oh and vaccines would also be mandated??? 😕

Bloody - I have not delved too far into the rules of Obamacare yet (but that unfortunately will have to change really soon). my understanding is that business with less than 50 employees will not face a penalty for not providing coverage. I have set up medical reimb plans for a number of small businesses. It is the only way I know of where a business can offer medical benefits but still control 100% of the costs. Depending on the type of entity the business uses, the tax results can vary. S Corp shareholders are required to report the payment on the k1, resulting in a reduction of basis, or taxable income, if no basis left to absorb the distribution. Otherwise, the reimb is deductible by the employer and tax free to the employee. One way around the S Corp issue is if the shareholder's spouse is a non-shareholder employee, run the reimbursement through the nonshareholder spouse (which covers spouses and dependents).

Poor righties, first Ron Paul lost, then Mitt won, now Judge Roberts showed his true colors, and voted for Obamacare. When will the carnage end? How much more can they take. Why didnt Fox News, or Ruush see this coming? At least the Skyway bridge is open.

I been warning everyone, better learn to be self sufficient, guess I better start dusting off my plant medicine journals, hehe.

Seriously, though, we have Tenncare here, started off to be universal for the uninsured, that didn't last long, hehe. Now it covers children only. Do a little research on it, most of the politicians, whether Demorat or Republirans, have avoided telling the truths!
