Rickamaven, if she was my daughter, do you think that I would be more right in calling her ugly? If it were my child that were called that, I probably would not like it. No matter what you say or I say, i'm wrong for calling her ugly. I admit that I am wrong. It doesnt change the fact that she is. I also dont think that I am the minority in thinking that way. Hey, I'm wrong, what can I do.

Rick, you’re splittin’ some mighty fine hairs in this case. I think if the intent of a person’s statement is to lead away from the truth rather than towards it, then it may not be lying in a technical sense, but it is in a moral sense. Much in the same way that George Bush lists his residence as an empty hotel room in Houston to avoid paying any taxes in Maine, despite the fact that his family compound is in Kennebunkport. Lying? No. Very slimy? Damn straight!

I wish the Monica thing never happened. It clouds the judgement of most folks. Clinton is/was a slime bag before and since the Lewinski scandal. It doesn't matter who was "more corrupt". All that matters is he was indeed a total disgrace. To his credit, he allowed the government to run in a prosperous manner during his tenure. To his credit, he is a personable guy who appears confident and in control. But he is a sham. He's never worked a day in his life. He not only opposed the US interest in Viet Nam, he dodged the draft, fled the country, and joined anti- American assemblies. You need not look further than the White Water and Vince Foster fiascos to realize his true worth. Let alone the pardons. His last 2 years in office were an attempt to build a legacy: Middle East Peace. He failed miserably, as is evident by the current state of affairs. He allowed the military to become complacent. What the hell is "don't ask, don't tell?" It's Liberal Democrat speak for "I don't have the balls to make a decision on this". His lack of decisions allowed the economy to run on all cylinders. But it hurt the position, and title and HONOR of the President of the United States. Monica doesn't matter. But calling a lie under oath a "loop hole" does nothing other than to prove his disdain for honesty and integrity. Again...

I'd have to agree. Clinton was not the greatest person to become president of the US, and it is a shame that Bush, Sr couldn't keep the Reagan legacy in place. However, Reagan and Bush, sr, Nixon, Kennedy, US Grant, Jackson and others were all involved in underhanded and sometimes illegal schemes. When looking at past presidents we must do so with the same microscope for all.
