I've gotten a bunch myself lately. For some of the new guys, if your interested in purchasing ISOM's, the best thing to do is ask one of the elders the best places to get them. This is big business and the fakes have gotten really good so even if it means paying a little more sometimes, you get what you pay for.

Forgot to add this. Another sure sign of a fake, is the filler used. ALL cuban cigars use long filler tobacco. If you cut the end of the cigar and small pieces fall off, then short filler was used and its a Fake for sure. Another sign is the smell of the cigars. Whenever you open a box of ANY cubans, there should be a really deep, rich aroma. It sounds like it would be hard to tell, but after a few boxes the smell is really unlike anything else and you'll know right away. Just a few things above and beyond the obvious that hopefully is helpful.

i believe i was a victim of counterfiet cuban cigars.
i recieved psd #4's that had wrappers that were a couple shades lighter, and measured 52 ring gauge, unbanded, of course. they have no similarity to the cuban psd 4's i have in the humi, cept length. haven't smoked 1 yet, but am going to soon.

anybody wants specifics can e-mail me, and i'll fill ya in. hopefully, nobody else will make the same mistake.

I listened to Goody and Frank and the ones I got are the real deal...Being fairly new to ISOM'S the information they gave me probably saved me a lot of grief...So like Frank said if you are not sure there are plenty of people here to guide you. 18delta also gave me some real good pointers on spooting fakes..
just my $.02
