OK, many thanks Bloody. But I'll still stick with 538.

My pleasure, fiddler, and thanks for forcing me to do a little research on the 538 blog. I thought 538 was a play on the Fuentes 858 line at first. You probably know how much I enjoy cigars but hate to read & research nowadays... I'm not proud of it.
The 538 blog appears to be run by a rather effeminate man, but that's just a curious aside (gay agenda?), named Nate Silver who has NEVER polled anyone. In fact,
it appears that he DEPENDS on polls. But the problem here is that many of the polls have a good track record for being WRONG.
Rasmussen was the most accurate poll of the presidential election 2008 and 2004 and he totally ignores it. He is now depending on polls which are usually proven very wrong such as cbs, nbc, washpost/abc, etc.
He was dead on in 2008 (and in the easily predictable 2010 backlash elections) probably because it was a one- sided election between an erudite, fresh-faced, "clean" black man spouting hope like an evangelist and an elderly, tired, political retread who was behind on almost every poll. IMHO, using that criteria, even the hapless Joe Biden could have easily made an accurate prediction- which the grinning moron did.[gonzo]
This race is too close for anyone to spew the rather laughable "Obama has 80% chance of winning in Florida" among other unintentionally riotous sounding predictions. My guess is that Mr. Silver will be a non-issue after this election but who knows? He may buck the trend & get lucky again by ignoring the very same polls which gave him gold last time.
We'll see in 72 hours.
