I'm guessing that strangely packaged package with my return address that I didn't package was packaged in Tennesse. Haven't opened it yet. Kinda skeered...

North Central MA reporting in.

Cool packaging indeed. My ear arrived today and there are plenty of kernels to go around. My son just started Cub Scouts and elective 14 in the Wolf handbook is to grow something, create a garden, visit a greenhouse... I'll bring the ear to this week's den meeting and pass some along to the others in his Wolf's Den.

Thanks Numi

True but it was cool to send it as a ear of dried corn. It took me a bit for my mind to figure it out and even more to cut all the tape off it.

That reminds me... wrapping gifts tonight and I need to take one or two to completely entomb in packing tape just to make it a little challenge for the recipient... Then another one or two gifts wrapped in a box... within a larger box... within an even larger box... then a larger box... and so on and so forth like the Russian nested doll thing

Gotta make them work for it...

hehe, this is fun, well worth the extra shipping!

Al, I think anytime after the soil is above 55 degrees, and there is no more risk of frost, almost anytime in some places, there.......You could try to plant it a month apart, successive plantings, and see what works best, you have plenty of seed.

agreed, would've been cheaper, but well worth the extra fun, comments, etc. it will bring.

Some will get it shelled with pkgs, that I owe them.

My thank you is that badge/patch he will earn!, and the fact that all those Young Men will be getting involved!........and the knowledge they can have, and pass along....we can teach him that those seeds will come back and bear corn every year, if saved, the hybrid type will not, that way the seed companies, etc. don't "own" him!

Thank YOU.

That's what this is all about.
