I'm glad you foresaw it and had the insight to give such an accurate comparison!

In a speech to House Democrats, Biden claimed, β€œIt is clearly within the right of the government to determine what type of weapons can be owned by the public.”

Maybe he was talking about the federal government cracking down on the 800,000 or so street gang members violating weapons laws already on the books in the USA.

Yeah, that's it...Biden meant cracking down on street gang weapons.

No, I'm not a Marxist. I have a lot of sympathy for his project and what he was trying to do, but I can't really get behind the politics of it and the way certain later thinkers articulate it.

And no, I don't hate puppies!

Are you now ready to join a kubbitz???

Seriously, you have a lot of sympathy for his "project" ?

20 million dead, conservatively in Russia by the hand of Lenin and Stalin
40 million dead, conservatively in China by the hand of "chairman" Mao

Need I go on to list all of the failed attempts to remove individual responsibilities from the caring of our own, and our brothers well being. Once you take the desire to care for one another and pass that responsibility to someone else more "enlightened" to take care of the needs of the people then you remove that bond between mankind in general. The United States of America is the most giving country in the world. We as a country give to more charitable organizations and to each other than any other country... why?? because we know that it is our responsibility to do so. God, yes I said it, God has given us inalienable rights that no man can take away. Mr. Marx, and his ilk, first remove God from the equation which then gives the "enlightened" ones the ability to determine what is necessary for each and every one for our own good. Once God is removed then it becomes easy to defer our individual responsibility to each other as human beings to look out for our own well being. Having compassion for your fellow man is not relying on someone else to do it. It's having the love in your own heart to look out for your brother. Once you take God out and remove the individual from any responsibility to his fellow man it then becomes easy to view him as inanimate, with less feeling of what does or does not happen to them. No longer caring for each other but for ones own well being. It then doesn't matter that your neighbor is taken out and shot. There is no longer that bond that binds us as human beings. That is the only way that you can attribute the calamitous numbers of deaths that have befallen those that live by the belief and the release of not having to answer to a greater one than us.

Your sympathy is miss placed.

^Well said, Rick, but you really shouldn't try to confuse the dear professor with facts and opinions that differ from the liberal party line.
