^ Not yet, BW. He's 12 (his two older brothers are low functioning autistics). I'm going to suggest he either go into health services or get a nice, higher level Government job after his masters.

In addition to what I do (btw we had an old Maryland GE plant as a client), I'm also working on 2 start-ups but if they don't work out, I would appreciate passing my resume to your lovely wife. I can swing a mean broom or I can be Drafter's assistant so he can post more.

President Obama says "dumb, arbitrary" forced spending cuts that take effect today are unnecessary and inexcusable. “Let’s be clear. None of this is necessary. It’s happening because of a choice that Republicans in Congress have made,” he said.
The president and Vice President Biden met with leaders of the House and Senate to discuss the cuts earlier in the day.
The cuts of $85 billion kick in today and are expected to lead to long lines at airports, furloughs of federal workers, reduced access to Head Start programs for young students, and scaled back food inspection and border security programs.
Insiders expect the cuts to be about 9% for nondefense programs and 13% for defense accounts.

And now Obama and his cohorts are turning their vitriol on former ally, Watergate's Woodward for not kowtowing the Sequestration/Armaggedon line and exposing it as lunacy that has no relevance on our REAL economic problems.

Some of you know, others don't, most probably don't care... but I've been a Fedral employee since last May. Where I work, we have a $2B/yr. budget that has been cut by hundreds of millions over the last few years. Thankfully, the powers to be that run the show have cut spending in anticipation of further budget cuts, so we will most likely not see any changes here.

Want to know what drives up our budget so high? Union workers. Just one example of how insane it can get here: there's a water pump in the building where I work that supplies the labs with distilled water from a centralized distillation unit. It's been broken for over a year, and these union workers say it will cost $30,000 to replace it. For a damn water pump!!! We got a local plumber to price quote the repair... about a grand. Then the union pissheads threatened a lawsuit if we had an outside contractor fix it. Total BS! At least the building manager dislikes unions too and told them to pound sand.

I cannot believe the media. They've been biases my whole life but at least there used to be some semblance of being the public watchdog.

End of March will be worse than this.
