Interesting how it is being reported. I keep hearing they need over $10 an hour just to be at the poverty level. But if you look close that is for a family of 4 ($23,050). It is 11,170 for a single individual. That's $5.50

^ How big of you, er, you know what I mean.😊

so paying the dude flipping burgers the same as the dude who spent 9 months going to welding school or truck driving school is the ok..?? Or is everybodys salary gonna double..?? I thought we were trying to protect the small business guy... 🤔

I easily paid entry level people more than minimum wage depending on experience. $10/hour is nothing unless you're a tightwad or broke. I can definitely understand if the latter however. I smoke cheap cigars to compensate for it.
Btw I am currently paying our healthcare caretaker over $16.50/hr & will offer that to new employees. The psychologists will get considerably more.

$10/hour is bare minimum. You should try living on that. Wait, you may still get the chance...

You've been brainwashed. That's ok. Been there done that. I too, used to wave my fist at the lazy have nots for wanting what was rightfully mine.
When you get into a higher position of authority and responsibility, you'll understand mo' bettah.

Btw, you can easily fire lazy or inefficient folks...

Raise the minimum wage and we'll be paying $20 for a Big Mac.
Flipping burgers and dropping fries at a fast-food joint was not meant to be a way of life.
Want a higher wage? Learn a trade. Flipping burgers or pulling them from a microwave is not a trade.

Those are the most easily accessible jobs these days. There's no shame in being a fry cook or similar btw. That's a hard, honorable profession IMO.

You're confusing mandated minimum wage with the fair wage I choose to pay.

IMHO, it shouldn't overwhelm folks to pay $10/hr. If it does, then they're either in the wrong line of work or they can hire fewer & let you subcontract them to wash your van down by the river. BWAAAAAAHAHAHA

You sound as though you rub yourself raw with cash.😍 [whip]

Too bad there isn't a group of similar workers who could get together, and set their wages and benefits. To like, a fair market value. I think im on to something here.
