*Another philanderer of the highest order. In addition, LBJ
was as crude as the day is long. Both JFK and LBJ kept a lot of women
in the White House for extramarital affairs and both
had set up early warning systems to alert them if/when
their wives were nearby. Both were promiscuous and oversexed men.*
*She was either naive or just pretended to not know
about her husband's many liaisons.*



RICHARD & PAT NIXON
*A "moral" man but very odd, weird, paranoid.
He had a horrible relationship with his family
and was almost a recluse.*
*She was quiet most of the time.*



SPIRO AGNEW
*Nice, decent man. Everyone in the Secret Service
was surprised by his downfall.*



GERALD & BETTY FORD
*A true gentlemen who treated the Secret Service with respect and dignity. He had a great sense of humor.*
*She drank a lot!*



JIMMY & ROSALYN CARTER
*A complete phony who would portray one picture of himself to public
and very different in private e.g. would be shown carrying his own luggage
but the suitcases were always empty. He kept empty ones just for photo ops. He wanted people to see him as pious and a non-drinker but he and his family drank alcohol a lot! He had disdain for the Secret Service and was very irresponsible with the "football" with nuclear codes.
He didn't think it was a big deal and would keep military aides
at a great distance. Often did not acknowledge the presence
of Secret Service personnel assigned to serve him.*
*She mostly did her own thing.*



RONALD & NANCY REAGAN
*The real deal, moral, honest, respectful and dignified.
They treated Secret Service and everyone else with respect and honor, thanked everyone all the time. He took the time to know everyone
on a personal level. One favorite story was early in his Presidency
when he came out of his room with a pistol tucked on his hip.
The agent in charge asked: "Why the pistol, Mr. President?" He replied,
"In case you boys can't get the job done, I can help."
It was common for him to carry a pistol. When he met with Gorbachev,
He had a pistol in his briefcase.
*She was very nice but very protective of the President and the
Secret Service was often caught in the middle. She tried hard to control what he ate. He would say to the agent, "Come on, you gotta help me out."
The Reagans drank wine during State dinners and special occasions
only otherwise they shunned alcohol. The Secret Service could count on one hand the times they were served wine during family dinner.
For all the fake bluster of the Carters,
the Reagans were the ones who lived life as genuinely moral people.*


GEORGE H. & BARBARA BUSH
*Extremely kind and considerate, always respectful. Took great care
in making sure the agents' comforts were taken care of.
They even brought them meals. One time she brought warm clothes
to agents standing outside at Kennebunkport .
One was given a warm hat and, when he tried to say "no thanks"
even though he was obviously freezing, the President said "Son,
don't argue with the First Lady. Put the hat on."
He was the most prompt of the Presidents.
He ran the White House like a well-oiled machine.*
*She ruled the house and spoke her mind.*


BILL & HILLARY CLINTON
*Presidency was one giant party. Not trustworthy. He was nice
mainly because he wanted everyone to like him but to him
life is just one big game and party.
Everyone knows about his sexuality.*
*She is another phony. Her personality would change the instant cameras were near. She hated with open disdain the military and Secret Service.
She was another who felt people were there to serve her.
She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.*



ALBERT GORE
* An egotistical ass who was once overheard by his Secret Service detail lecturing his son that he needed to do better in school
or he would end up like these guys, pointing to the agents.*



GEORGE W. & LAURA BUSH
*The Secret Service loved him and Laura Bush. He was also the most physically in shape who had a very strict workout regimen.
The Bushes made sure their entire administrative and household staff understood that they were to respect and be considerate
of the Secret Service.*
*She was one of the nicest First Ladies, if not the nicest.
She never had any harsh word to say about anyone.*



*BARACK & MICHELLE OBAMA
* Clinton all over again - hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service. He is egotistical and cunning. He looks you in the eye and appears
to agree with you but turns around and does the opposite.
He has temper tantrums.*
*She is a complete bitch who basically hates anybody who is not black, hates the military and looks at the Secret Service as servants.*

Sam Donaldson wrote a book. Pretty much consistent with what you posted as it relates to the Presidents he covered. IIIRC, he wasn't too flattering in regards to Jimmy Carter.

$1.5M Hotel Bill for President Obama's One-Day Visit to Brussels

In late March, President Obama took a week-long trip through Europe which included a stop of less than 24 hours in Brussels, Belgium for meetings with the European Union and NATO. The president stayed at The Hotel, a twenty-seven story hotel in the center of the city. The estimated cost for the president's stay, including about two weeks for an advance team, was $1,522,646.36.

Despite reports that the president travelled with an entourage of 900, the Justification and Approval documents only indicate a need for "283 Lodging Rooms." However, sometimes more than one hotel is used during VIP trips. For instance, when the president travelled to South Africa for Nelson Mandela's funeral, five different hotels were used.

Contracts for lodging have not yet been posted for the president's other stops during his Europe trip, which included the Netherlands and Rome, Italy.

A PROCLAMATION

Over 150 years ago, as a civil war threatened to dissolve our Union, President Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. Defining the American experiment as "conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that 'all men are created equal,'" he resolved that our Nation "shall not perish from the earth." He understood that what makes America most worth preserving are our founding ideals. These ideals compelled colonists to rise up against an empire, and they have sustained generations of service members through the darkest days of war.

In the United States of America, we do not define loyalty as adherence to any single leader, party, or political platform. When we make big decisions as a country, we necessarily stir up passions and controversy. These debates are a hallmark of democracy; they allow us to trade ideas, question antiquated notions, and ensure our Nation's course reflects the will of the American people. Yet even as we disagree, we remain true to our shared values and our common hopes for America's future.

On Loyalty Day, we renew our conviction to the principles of liberty, equality, and justice under the law. We accept our responsibilities to one another. And we remember that our differences pale in comparison to the strength of the bonds that hold together the most diverse Nation on earth.

Secret Service on the hunt for cupcakes in NYC

Michelle Obama believes in a healthy low-fat, low-sugar diet — but her Secret Service detail seems to have other ideas.

When the First Lady went to the Meatpacking District Monday to visit a couple who have contributed generously to her husband’s presidential campaigns, one of the agents protecting her was on the hunt for cupcakes.

After attending the ribbon-cutting at the newly named Anna Wintour Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum (Wintour has twice put the First Lady on the cover of Vogue), Mrs. Obama went downtown to the West 12th Street apartment of Tracy Maitland and Kimberly Hatchett.

While she was upstairs visiting the couple, a Secret Service agent asked the doorman for directions.

A neighbor told me, “One agent was asking how to get to Magnolia Bakery,” the Bleecker Street cupcake joint famed for its sugar-spun sweets topped with buttercream frosting. Perhaps the agent is a “Sex and the City” fan — the television show made Magnolia a tourist destination for wannabe Carrie Bradshaws.

No word on what Mrs. Obama was served while at the Maitland-Hatchett household.

Maitlaid runs Advent Capital Management, while his wife — a former Olympic hopeful in the 400-meter hurdles — is at Morgan Stanley.

It is expected that the influential couple will eventually be big contributors for the Obama Presidential Library — whether it ends up being built in New York, Chicago or Honolulu.

SHOCK: Directive No. 3025.18 Authorizes Military Force Against U.S. Citizens On American Soil During Times of ‘Unrest’

People are always skeptical when the talk of martial law or military action against citizens pops up in the blogosphere. The discussion is elevated to a whole new level, though, when a major media outlet like the Washington Times publishes a terrifying report on a new directive that essentially empowers the President to use military force against citizens in times of unrest.

Which is exactly . The story surrounds and should shake anyone who bothers paying attention right down to his/her core.

The troubling aspect of the directive outlines presidential authority for the use of military arms and forces, including unarmed drones,in operations against domestic unrest.

“This appears to be the latest step in the ’s decision to use force within the United States against its citizens,” said a defense official opposed to the directive.

Directive No. 3025.18, “Defense Support of Civil Authorities,” was issued Dec. 29,2010, and states that U.S. commanders “are provided emergency authority under this directive.”

“Federal military forces shall not be used to quell civil disturbances unless specifically authorized by the president in accordance with applicable law or permitted under emergency authority,” the directive states.

“In these circumstances,those federal military commanders have the authority,in extraordinary emergency circumstances where prior authorization by the president is impossible and duly constituted local authorities are unable to control the situation, to engage temporarily in activities that are necessary to quell large-scale,unexpected civil disturbances” under two conditions.

The conditions include military support needed “to prevent significant loss of life or wanton destruction of property and are necessary to restore governmental function and public order.” A second use is when federal,state and local authorities “are unable or decline to provide adequate protection for federal property or federal governmental functions.”

“Federal action, including the use of federal military forces, is authorized when necessary to protect the federal property or functions,” the directive states.

Military assistance can include loans of arms, ammunition,vessels and aircraft. The directive states clearly that it is for engaging civilians during times of unrest.

We’ve covered countless stories of the U.S. military arming local law enforcement with heavy armor vehicles. We’ve covered countless stories of training events that included the firing of live ammunition in heavily populated cities like Miami. But this new directive is a much different animal. It essentially moves the conversation away from terrorism and into the idea of civil unrest.

And by what definition of unrest does the government intend to use in initiating such military force?

Land of the free and home of the brave? Not so much anymore. Not so much at all.

IRS Admits Wrongdoing In Settlement With Traditional Marriage Group Over Leaked Donor List

June 24, 2014 by Ben Bullard The IRS has admitted wrongdoing in the illegal release of names on a confidential list on conservative donors to a rival political group and has agreed to pay $50,000 to the conservative group whose members’ names were wrongly leaked.

A U.S. District Court judge accepted a settlement today in the case, which pitted the IRS as a defendant against the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), a conservative group whose membership was leaked by an internal IRS source, using information meant only for IRS documentation purposes, to a liaison for a gay rights group, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).

A reading of this case’s history quickly disabuses the observer of any impression of an impersonal, run-of-the-mill bureaucratic screw-up and replaces it with something far more human and mendacious. This wasn’t a case of someone inadvertently hitting the wrong button on a computer or mistakenly lumping in one stack of information with another; it was instead an attempt to wilfully present legally-protected donor information to an adversarial political group to influence the relative power one wielded against the other.

Here’s how The Daily Signal, which first reported today’s decision, summarizes it:

In February 2012, the Human Rights Campaign posted on its web site NOM’s 2008 tax return and the names and contact information of the marriage group’s major donors, including soon-to-be Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. That information then was published by the Huffington Post and other liberal-leaning news sites.

HRC’s president at the time, Joe Solmonese, was tapped that same month as a national co-chairman of President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.

Eastman said an investigation in the civil lawsuit determined that someone gave NOM’s tax return and list of major donors to Boston-based gay rights activist Matthew Meisel. Email correspondence from Meisel revealed that he told a colleague of “a conduit” to obtain the marriage group’s confidential information.

Testifying under oath in a deposition as part of the lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Meisel invoked his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself and declined to disclose the identity of his “conduit.”

To get at that fact, Eastman said, the National Organization for Marriage has asked Attorney General Eric Holder to grant immunity from prosecution to Meisel.

So a “conduit” at the IRS fished out the names of all the donors who expressed their support for the state’s present legal definition of marriage through a political movement, and handed that confidential information over to an activist who wants that definition to change. Then that activist revealed that illegally-obtained information to a competing political group, which got its cause some instant press from media outlets invested in advancing the issue. The Obama campaign then swooped in and recruited the president of the group that had shared the illegally-gotten info away from his position and made him the President’s campaign manager. Oh, and the President’s opponent in that election cycle just happened to be one of the guys on the victim group’s donor list.

Regardless of which side of the marriage issue you stand on, that’s just messed up.

It’s also not just a civil matter – it’s a crime. “Unauthorized disclosure of confidential tax information is a felony offense that can result in five years in prison, but the Department of Justice did not bring criminal charges,” the Daily Signal observed. So far, and until the “conduit” (presumably an IRS employee) is revealed, the IRS itself is the only named culprit – and that’s merely for this now-settled civil action.

The $50,000 the IRS must pay will necessary come from public coffers, whether by means of a standing liability protection plan or direct payment. “The $50,000 to be paid by the IRS represents actual damages NOM incurred responding to the illegal disclosure, not punitive damages,” notes the Signal, because “the marriage group was unable to prove disclosure of the confidential records was deliberate after Meisel took the Fifth.”
