HEY!!! I'm the original Elmer tout. It's all my fault for telling everyone. I never should have sent a bottle to DPNewell. I bet that jackazz bought it all on the cheap. I have one lonely bottle hidden away, unfortunately I know where I hid it.

Either I've been drinking too much scotch or I'm losing my taste for it.

Is it possible to get a bad bottle or lose your taste for one I've night? The last bottle I enjoyed was from the same place, the rest of my bottles are not.

Well if you're talkin Single Barrels.........yes there will be some differences barrel to barrel.Obviously the best Single Barrels are the most consistent which Elmer has always been for me.But if you truly have lost your taste for it you have my snailer.LOL

Miley not sure what you are talking about. I've been enjoying the **** out of this stuff. Just opened a new bottle last night that didn't Horne like the others thus the question.

It could also be that I was drinking balvanie first and shot my palate.

I'll try it first tonight.

Whistle you already have 2 or more comming. This bottle reminded me more of the Weller.

TW, most of my bottles of the Single Malt have come from the distiller itself, some special events where they could sell at the premises. So far I cant tell that much variation between the different bottles but Ron is right, because they are a small batch kinda distiller there are some differences between the batches even with all the care and craftsmanship they take in creating their stuff.

This is the only bottle that hasn't grabbed me. As I said I'll try again tonight.

sounds like a whiskey slump. Only cure is to drink your way out of it.

It's the bottle. It comes across flat and missing all the complicated flavors/spice. I opened up another bottle and it is excellent. None of my other bottles came from that store so I'm thinking the odds of that happening again are slim to none.

It's not like it's bad. It's just different. It really does remind me of the Weller. I'll drink it, but I'll drink the other open bottle first lol.

Switching to dahlwinnie though.

I wore it to work Friday. I like wearing stuff like that to piss off the anti smoking crowd.
