Well I would like to see if Ronaldo is healthy and since Messi scored yesterday maybe they try one upping each other.

If Ronaldo is healthy, the U.S. chances drop considerably. Best scenario for U.S. is to beat Ghana by at least two, draw vs Portugal (possible with a less than 100% Ronaldo) and hope Germany beats them both up by two or more goals and hope for the best against Germany. A one goal loss there may push them through on goal differential.

Messi's goal yesterday was a classic, but I'm not sure if Argentina's style of play will stand up. They essentially play defense with seven and leave Messi, DeMaria and one other forward up near midfield to play quick counter-attack offense and with no defensive responsibilities. The three don't give much effort to slowing down the other side when they lose the ball, but did create some decent scoring chances against an average B-H team.

To me it looked like Ronaldo was grimacing during warmups. I didn't think the best case scenario through delta but I did think that a tie in this game would be bad for the US, your way makes a the most sense.

Other than Muller, nobody on the German side dives. Wonderful to watch.

Still think Portugal can make a game of it. The German back line is much slower footed than CR and Nani.
