However, the fact is that Cuban cigars...real Cuban cigars are very expensive in DR.

If you are anywhere in the Caribbean/Mexico and you buy a cigar outside of LCdH, it is fairly safe to assume it is not real....ESPECIALLY if it is cheap. Sorry. Guys from DR come HERE to buy Cuban cigars.

Second the reason dstieger "laughed" at you,(your words). There is no such thing as a cheap Cuban especially when it comes to Cohiba, when I went to Mexico earlier this year I paid right around 47 dollars for a maduro 5. There's tons of fakes out there that look so close to the real thing it's very hard to tell.
