The pizza shop owners are being rewarded by like-minded people for sticking to their principles. The people who donate consider it a worthwhile cause, and money well spent. It provides a "wealth" of proof that the liberal media's militant pro-homosexual agenda is NOT being accepted, and is in fact dead wrong.

Gofundme provides more than just electronic panhandling - there's plenty of that - but it also provides in some circumstances a vehicle for the masses to put their money where their mouth is - an increasingly excellent way for the public to speak out against bad media attempts to sway or create the news. Its far more than panhandling.

Another recent happening would be 2 seperate extremely successful Gofundme campaigns for officer Darren Wilson. The media tried to villify this man for doing his job. The people spoke out through donations both to help him and his family, but also as a thumb in the eye to the liberal media creeps.

Both are great examples of good people portraying some of those "dumb" convictions the liberals so despise.

Time for lunch - Chik-fil-A anyone?

An interesting concept. So you're saying you'll give me money for going out and denying people rights or shooting someone?

I think you need to start to be a little concerned about the incentive situation you're putting in place here. In both these situations the people are theoretically walking away with more money than they would earn if they hadn't ended up in the spotlight.

That's an over simplification and you know it. You chide others for doing it, then you do it...

They were not denying anyone their rights, they were exercising their own. And Wilson shot Brown because he attacked him and tried to take his gun.

That said, there are 318 million people in this country. Just because the pizza joint made 850k in donations doesn't mean the people who support them are a majority by ANY stretch.

Ha! Nice try again.

You don't like the concept, so you are trying to twist the facts. Nobody's rights were denied by the pizza parlor and Wilson shot a thug in self defense. Face it Vickie, the libbies lost on all fronts in both of these events. And the old ways of the media tearing the little people down personally and financially is being stopped dead in its tracks. The public saw things for what they were and took it upon themselves to make these good people whole - and more. Its a total win-win.

You know what really worries me? Thug athletes and other "performers" who make tens of millions and are never punished when they acyually do break the law. Because the media helps them get away with it. Maybe someone should start a Gofundme account to create a fund to prosecute the media every time they do that crap...

I agree macs, it was an oversimplification... Perhaps too much of one.

The point I was trying to make is that these individuals have now theoretically made more money doing something dumb and getting micro-funded by a bunch of people who think they did the right thing than they would of making a correct decision.

Tot take the clear cut case of the pizza joint, the smart move would have been to simply not provide an answer to the media to such a dumb question. Especially if we are to believe cling-on here, and the media is a huge left wing conspiracy. But no, the pizza joint made the dumb move of giving "the evil media" grist for the mill. Despite making the dumb move, they have now earned more money than they would have keeping quiet. They have become like the kardashians. Regardless of what one's beliefs are on the issue, I think one would agree that rewarding people for making the dumb decision is a poor trend to continue.

But hey, it's their money, I'm not going to say they can't spend it how they feel.

So how much money did you donate to the pizza place cling-on?

And cling-on... I don't see how the liberals lost on all sides here... The bill in Indiana is getting changed, and I'm gonna bet that none of them spent their hard earned money to prop up a pizza joint.

You do realize if a bunch of right wing nutjobs all give a single right wing nutjob some money it doesn't actually impact anyone except for those who gave money and those who received... Right? It isn't like we taxed the liberals to make a fund for them.

It wasn't a dumb decision to stick to their principles when the libtard media came "in search of" what they found - christians who are proud of their morals & values, and who are not afraid to say so when asked. And thats the right thing to do, and thats why theyre being rewarded, much to your chagrin. It wasn't "dumb" to answer a question honestly. The Gofundme account clearly proves that.

The media went trolling for pizza shop, they didn't search out the wannabe reporter. She tried to manufacture another "poor discriminated homosexual" story, and it blew up in her face just like the bad Rolling Stone reporter that cried rape. Now that UVA is finally sueing RS, lets watch as she eventually gets "downsized". Alongside her editor. The whole rag deserves to be downsized out of publication, but hey, as you said earlier, if that's what people want to spend their money on...

The bill in Indiana isn't getting changed except to add worthless verbage that won't affect the overall intent of the bill to begin with. It just shut the libtards up, as designed.

Dude, you're in a hole again. Stop digging. You're pushing yourself down the stairs this time.

About the only thing you are right in that statement is that the media went trolling.

1 - It's dumb to answer any question when the person has no business asking it. The phrase "that's not any of your business" is the smart answer.

2 - I have no "chagrin" over these businesses taking your hard earned money. I look at it like one of those dumb mega-churches that get ridiculously rich off the donations of thousands of lower income people. They say what you want to hear and you give them money. As long as it isn't MY money, I could care less.

The revised legislation prohibits providers from using the law as a legal defense for refusing to provide services, goods, facilities or accommodations. It also bars discrimination based on factors that include race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or United States military service

Victor, stop. You cannot deny that had she refused to answer, or answered with a "MYOB" gist, the need to create the Gofundme account would'nt have been there at all. But she bravely chose not to deny her beliefs, even in the face of the media. She is living proof that sticking to one's morals & values does indeed pay - sometimes quickly and handsomely. Moreover, she chose not to deny her maker to any man, and I feel that will bring her a larger "reward" than any amount of money ever will.

It wasn't dumb for her to answer, it was dumb for the reporter to have asked the dumb question in the first place.

Oh, and you do care - because if you didn't you wouldn't have bothered with the replies. You know what else was dumb? Letting on that it bothers you - because I'm having a lot more fun with it than you should have allowed me to.

.... um... you're really not too bright here are you. If she'd said nothing, her business could operate normally. Correct, the gofundme wouldn't be necessary. In other words, it wouldn't have been necessary for a whole bunch of rightwing nutjobs to give their hard-earned money to her. She could have earned money from liberal pizza-eaters as well. If one wants to take as stark a black-and-white view of the world as you like to, if she had kept her mouth shut there would have been a larger amount of money changing hands from liberals to her, THIS would be considered a net gain. Currently, there is just money changing hands from a bunch of conservatives to one conservative, this is not a "win"... it's a neutral state.

See, now here you completely invalidate everything you say. Do you actually think you know what goes on in my head better than I do? Someone you have never met, have only had brief argumentative interactions with on a discount cigar forum? Even I'm not arrogant enough to bother arguing with other people over what's in THEIR heads, or what their motivation is. It's dumb of you to do so, and your desire to argue with me over something which I have ALL the information (what I'm thinking) and you have NO information (what I'm thinking)... means you'd argue gravity doesn't exist if took the opposing view.
