Asked a BOTL tonight who is closely associated with a group sponsored by DE and recently went on a DE Safari. It was explained to me that JDN is one of the oldest tobacco farms/family in the region - over 45+ years. Their original building is one of the oldest in the area. Originally JDN offered the Cabinetta (mild) and another that I can't remember the name of (strong). JD didn't help with the distribution per-say or the blending, but more with the marketing. As happens in the cigar industry, close relations where formed, but JDN is not part of Drew Estates as I understood it.
Regarding MUWAT - thought that was Subculture Studios, or a 'subdivision' of DE and a collaboration between Drew Estate and JDN. Kind of like L'Atelier is a subdivison of Tatuaje done in collaboration with Dan Welsh and produced by My Father. Don't know or think MUWAT or HE is effected by the Swisher deal.
