I may not be devout, but I assure you I am neither weak nor a jackass. And that's a pretty simplistic and ill informed summation of Jewish history.
I am full of compassion, I am able to forgive but not forget, and I strongly disagree with your premise that Jews and Christians should be expected to have different societal values. Right is right, and Good is Good.
I will not debate this but Jews believe the Old Testament is the word of God. Others believe in sequels, for sure. I believe if the NT works for you to make you better, then it is working correctly. You are aware that more people believe
in later rewrites than the NT, right? I'll choose to believe that a perfect being made a perfect first draft...and I don't give two **** what you think of my conclusions, yet I can overlook it and still befriend you. I'd even fight TMCTLT for your right to choose the Book of your choice...HA!
