He strikes again...Palama (fill in the blank)!!! He and I are members of the CBid Weight Loss Club, in the General Discussion board. I'm beginning to think he has a small sliver of a mean streak, and is intentionally sabotaging my diet because he sent: a big bag of fresh shrimp chips from the Tasty Chop Suey restaurant; a large bag of Hawaii's Best Haupia (coconut pudding squares dessert) Mix; a large bag of Hawaii's Best Butter Mochi (rice cake dessert) Mix; a bag of Hawaii's Best Kulolo (taro pudding dessert) Mix; and a 20ct box of Hawaiian Islands Tea Co. Mango Maui black tea.
He included recipes featured in a Honolulu newspaper for char siu (bbq pork) and jook (rice porridge), two of my fave childhood Chinese comfort food dishes my Mom used to make. For good measure, there was a bag of Grenades Wild Spearmint gum. He put in a trademark back-scratcher, which I'll have to fully extend when my girth increases...a key fob from his fave boy band concert (New Kids on The Block /Backstreet Boys) and an Ayinger Celebrator goat.
That's crazy by itself...but the cigars he put in the box are fantalizingly insane, all carefully packed with Humi-Care pillows:
