whatever happened to the lady driving the Cadillac we always used to read about, picking up free cheese all over the country?
She was good for getting middle class and lower class all distracted from looking up! They should bring her back.

Meanwhile, no cheese for X

My grandmother and grandfather were doing better than OK in their retirement and they got the free cheese. It was like some kind of social event, a bunch of old folks would form a group and go down to the cheese distribution point to get their cheese. They made a day of it.

Reminds me of Kraft Singles. One day they would not melt. I looked in to it only to find that there is almost no cheese in that cheese.

Now we get real cheese from the deli counter. 500% better.....

The government cheese was the same crap, but it had to melt. They tested it and stuff.

velveeta has no expiration date.
But my fave is still aerosol cheese that sprays out of the can (regrettable wording). What a concept.

I ate plenty was a kid... we used to get gallon cans of peanut-butter too... we were poor living about a block from da ghetto... seems like we got flour, powdered milk, powdered eggs and oil and stuff... was a long time ago tho.... 😟

Now that you don't need it anymore you should work towards ending all those programs. Free Carter Butter, Reagan eggs and oil and stuff should be a thing of the past.

The people back then needed it. The people today are just lazy leaches.

If the people receiving them back then are still receiving them today then they are lazy leaches... why do you hate free gubment cheeses..?? 😕

I actually liked it. We had a few people in college that applied for it and got it. It made awesome mac and cheese.
