I've never had a true cuban... I'll be in Costa Rico next April so I plan to indulge quite a bit... Where do you all get your cubans from now???

02 Party PC. Nice and strong.
To cigarlover22, Be aware, CR is renowned for producing fakes. Buy only from a La Casa del Habano cigar vendor. If there's not one in your
city,you're prolly buying a fake. X

I have two boxes of PSD#4 open at this time so I just did a side by side.

Apr '05 good

Sep '08 fanfriggintastic!

July '13 waiting but had one OTT about early '14 and it was very good also. It seems that from about '08 on the Cubans have not needed nearly as much age to be at or near their peak which leads me to think some blends have changed or they are not releasing them as green as they used to.

Just got in some Cohiba Clubs. Had a couple while watching MNF. Very nice and spicy for a 20-25 min smoke. X

H Upmann Mag 46 '05. Lovely. I go back and forth, but I think the Magnum 46 is my all time favorite cigar.

Haven't had many Cubans or a big hankering for them but I had a great cigar last night. Montecristo Edmundo Tubo. This is in a cedar lined metal tube and had a nice dusting of plume. I was impressed by this cigar...one of the best I have ever had, though I claim to be no expert. Makes me want to explore more cubans.

A buddy of mine has piloted international flights for 30 years and has always said he couldnt stand cigars. He had ample opportunity to pick up cubans and never did. He just got back from his last flight before retiring and says guess what.... he smoked two cuban cigars. First shock. Then he said he liked them. Second shock. We may have a new BOTL.

Yep! Fired up an Alex CG rott also. The USPS had it's way with the box....looks like it was kicked around like a football.....[ram27bat]
One was badly split in the 2nd half so I glued it and decided to fire it up. Smoked fine for the most part and the flavors were outstanding with complexity in spades. Reminded me a bit of a HUP SW profile with added sweetness. Delish!=p~

Interesting......I ran across a bundle of pigtailed connie churchills that had the words Alex Conetico on the bottom of bundle but no bands. Custom rolled are labeled so must be different? Pretty good but likely not cuban. Guy I got them from speaks no English so who knows.
