Yup, and just like with cigars its a matter of palate and individual taste. I lucked into a bottle of Jefferson's Ocean Aged and while most of the reviews have been glowing and the nose is decent, for my garden variety palate it's just OK, not great, just OK. Drink and smoke what works for you.

This one's marked voyage #5. Don't really get salt, although a lot of people do, just not a lot going on. Maybe I'm more of a sewer and less a connoisseur.

Opened a bottle of Whistle Pig last night. Now dat I like. Bulleit, turbinado and coffee this morning with a Tat Black lancero.

Getting ready to start back on the bourbons and looked for anything interesting at the local today and saw Elmer was in. Unfortunately a bottle that was $30 2 years ago and $37 last year is now $45. Not happy about it but I might still get a couple throughout the year but left empty handed today.

I will probably grab some but going to try and check out last year's hot spot first. Xmas is about when we normally see a lot of Elmer here.

last night at My Dinner with Fiddler, I ordered a Bakers, neat, water on the side.
When the waiter put it down I thought he said "Makers" so I questioned him. Sure enough, he brought a Makers...and insisted on swapping, which I allowed.

Never used the water as it turned out. Bakers is amazing
