That Sugarloaf song is pretty good. I'd never heard anything other than the two hits. Both decent enough....in fact Green Eyed Lady was one of the main songs that made me decide to be a drummer. Texas Two Lane seems to evoke Head East more than Green Eyed Lady or Don't Call Us.

I HIGHLY encourage getting your hands on their stuff...really good. Too bad the output was very little...the talent was HUGE!

Dude... those two samples sucked balls. If you're trying to recruit fans... you gotta do better than that ****.

Nope. I was talking to DMV. I'd rather watch soccer than listen to those songs. Eww.

If that's the best sugarloaf has to offer... wtf.

I'm the Pete Rose of musicology. I got a lot of hits but few home runs...I listen to more music in a year than most do in a lifetime. I can't hit a home run each time at bat but once in awhile I'll find a band that got overlooked and it was a shame.

Sorry you feel the way about Sugarloaf. There's tons of talent in that band...especially the keyboardist, the vocals and the guitar. What's not to like about listening to "Green Eyed Lady" and dialing in that thumping bassline and driving drum? Most of the time I'll over look the obvious hit and dig deeper for something that made me go back and listen twice or 3 times to the same song.

I understand. I was just effin' with you.

I like a lot of different stuff, as well, but I'm certainly not as diverse as you when it comes to music.

Colin Hay (Lead singer for Men at Work)

Just got back from his concert in Dallas. If you haven't heard his solo stuff, you should. Still has a great voice and he is a GREAT songwriter.

WOW! is that the same band from like late 60's/early 70's? A friend bought an album of theirs back then simply because they were reputed to be the loudest band going, and we liked it!

Or is it a reincarnation of the same moniker?

I'm gonna guess that the last time I listened to a Blue Cheer album was back in the early '70s. Wonder what Spotify has?
