EI,

Technically (and by technically, I mean if you don't want your balls ripped off and thrown into the fires of Aboozabah while the nerves are still attached), we cannot recruit.

To be considered for membership, you must show the initiative to seek out the required info and ASK to join.

But have you ever really seen Baphomet's head?

does it go on tour of all the lodges?

Fraternity type, ritualistic hazing. Kinda like becoming a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy before the kinder, gentler BS took effect.

I've never seen Baphomet's head, but if I were heinously tortured, I might say that I did.

one side note to EI's info, was that the Templars were raided on the 13th. That was on a Friday. this is why Friday the 13th is considered unlucky. goood info again from EI

Could someone please explain to me the difference between a Freemason Lodge and Temple? There is a huge building two blocks away from my house (in the historic district) that has about 20 massive concrete columns across its facade and other nice details. It has some inscription at the top which I don't remember, just that it's a temple and is part of the Scottish rite of Freemasonry. It's a really nice building, a lot different than the lodges I normally see.

bmellis, the building you are looking at may be a consistory. A consistory is where the degrees of the Scottish rite are conferred. These buildings have an auditorium in them so in general they are quite large. It may also house a blue lodge. Are there any symbols such as the square and compass or a two headed eagle?
