I could vote for some tea baggers but let's call them what they are. A third party globbing on to the republicans for feigned legitamacy.

Bunch of mind numbed robots conning in to the room and expecting folks to conform to them.

That is sad because at the core there is merit to where they start.

Many of the teabaggers sunk their hooks into the Republican Party because it was closer to them then democrats.

Just admit it you are neither republican or democrat. Stake your claim and fight. Quit trying to pretend in order to get some legitamacy.

Teabaggers coming in and calling long term republicans rinos are the real rinos. It's obvious. You don't come in to something and tell the folks sitting there ther are not what they are. It's dilusional.

You are not a republican. You are something else. You don't want to say that because you want the credibility of being republican. But if you are against established republicans that say a lot.

You want the logo not the message.

Who the eff, in their right minds, would want to be on either side? Legitimacy? Are you effing dense? BOTH sides are pounding the public from behind. All these politicians are bought and paid for by somebody. Congress has an all-time low approval rating.

What we need is another party which isn't like the established politicians on either side. Some folks who are willing to do what's right for AMERICA, and not themselves or their party. I don't know if anybody actually knows what that is, any more.

I agree with you macs. I didn't say it well but the tea party should have and should be a third party if they hate the republicans so much.

When I say legitamacy or logo I mean all the traditional workings, organization, networks, and knowledge it presumably takes to win. They wanted that while hating the establishment.

By definition the establishment is the core. They want the vehicle but not the core. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that but it makes them the RINO. They are something else which is cool. They then call the core the rinos. It's a good political game but not accurate. I'd do it too. It's smart just not true.

The splintering happening now is long over due. It should have happened up front but they were using each other. We'll see what happens.

But I agree with pretty much all you said.

both of these parties are following the natural progression towards big, bloated government as power consolidation is the goal of most of our oligarchs

moving us average joes and jens around as they see fit

maybe the rinos and libs should be the ones who break off from the historical parties?

what gives them the right to claim the party - whoever has more old rich dudes?

I really don't care what you call it, and I agree with you that the two parties are more alike then people like to admit. It is also very smart to want to take their (republican) name and all the trappings that come with it even thought they already have another self proclaimed name. I don't blame them it's smart tactically. This isn't a bash on them (although I do bash them over some things I agree with them on others). I just find it funny they will then claim the historical or core are the RINOs and anyone that doesn't go along with them 100% is not a republican or conervative. It's classic doublespeak and very smart.

By the way I have and will vote for some teaparty candidates even though they are rinos and are only in the party to claim the ballot benefits etc.

And let me be clear.... no one owns the party although many claim they do. I don't really think the teaparty are RINOs but am using the term because that is what they throw out to long term Republicans. I am merely saying if there are true RINOs it would be the newbies forming their own party and trying to coop another.

In the end there is room for the teaparty but their insisance that they are pure and others are not or are false republicans is stupid.

LOL. One of the things Ronnie did was expand the tent. The party prior to him was constricted and drove peole out that were not republican enough. He ran as an outsider in terms of "establishment" but preached expanding the tent. If you do not have a party that accepts and welcomes different views with a common basic core you have a failed party. This insistence that those that are not lock step with you , or worse, the establishment are not Republicans is the opposite of Reagan. When you try to wrap Reagan around it is is heresy. Reagan was not the establishment candidate initially but he did become so. And post Reagan him and his peeps were/are the establishment by definition. They were/are the grown ups.

My irritation is that while I accept the teaparty folks, I do not accept them lock stock and barrel. And there are some I do not like. They were welcomed to the frat party, showed up and insist others do what they say or be like them or they are not part of the frat. Weird. Start your own frat, assimilate, or work within the frat to move towards your view. It's the absolutism that gets me. That's not reaganesque

I suppose at the end of the day, I really like Trump.
He is entertaining like a Jerry Springer show.
And he has done more damage to the GOP than the free will movement.
