Frank,
Glad it got there safe and sound. I never said it was gonna be a "cheap burn".
I buy them "used" on EBay for a couple of bucks and pass them along.
That would be their 1st CD.
If you don't like the first song, listen to the second. If you don't care for the second, listen to the third, and so on.
It is a very eclectic CD, as far as the music, and I'm sure you'll find SOMETHING on it that gets your juices flowing.
Their music made such an impression on me, that I actually had the cover art tattooed on my arm.
It was done by Shane O'Neill, the first season winner of "Inkmaster' .
Let me know what you think of the CD.

Used to be you could sell your old CDs for $5-10, guess those days may be long gone with the way we listen to music these days (...Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, etc....).

Sonia Dada, thanks jespear! You had no reason to worry if this one would be good.

eclectic for sure, but seemingly never stretching beyond their reach. Actually loved the mix, from stuff almost a capella to gospel and more. Excellent mix of instruments and enough vocal talent to have different soloists and great combinations of complimentary voices. How many members in one band can sing that well?

A really solid first album, I will seek out the others. Are all of them mixed style or do they narrow the musical focus on any later releases?

edit: also enjoyed a few selections that sounded like stuff Willy DeVille would have written or covered as I have been going through some of his old stuff, coincidentally.

Still going through the Heart Melter catalog:

Linda Ronstadt - Linda Ronstadt (1972)

The group not yet known as The Eagles were her backup band on a few cuts.

If you mean the club called Stone Pony in New Jersey then no. But iffin' you're referring to the Stone Poneys, the group, then yes.

We used to have the Diamond Head Sunshine Festivals back in the late '60s and early '70s. Linda performed at the Festival right after she left the Stone Poneys so musta been in '69.. Gosh, was she a looker back then! Like a I said, she melted my teenage heart. Would be about 5-6 years later before she returned to open up for Jackson Browne at the Waikiki Shell but that was a great night too.

Yup, you are correct, I meant Poneys.
And she really was great looking back then.
