Sonia Dada, thanks jespear! You had no reason to worry if this one would be good.

eclectic for sure, but seemingly never stretching beyond their reach. Actually loved the mix, from stuff almost a capella to gospel and more. Excellent mix of instruments and enough vocal talent to have different soloists and great combinations of complimentary voices.
Frank,
The leader of the band, Daniel Pritzker, (a billionaire heir to the Pritzker Foundation in Chicago), heard the three singers, Michael Scott, Paris Delaine, and Sam Hogan, singing acapella gospel in the subway and asked them to join his band.

How many members in one band can sing that well?

A really solid first album,
Here is the link to my tattoo of the cover art.

On the website, it says it's located on my leg, but it is in fact on my upper right arm.

I will seek out the others. Are all of them mixed style or do they narrow the musical focus on any later releases? Pretty much a mixture . . . similar, yet different than the first album. You can hear the evolution of the band's music, but it still retains it's unique signature sound.

edit: also enjoyed a few selections that sounded like stuff Willy DeVille would have written or covered as I have been going through some of his old stuff, coincidentally.

Thought I heard some snickering out here, but I believe you. There are a few enduring songs that this studio created band made. Anytime someone spins Daydream Believer the whole room starts to sing the chorus. Guaranteed.

About 20-25 years ago, I was walking down the street in a funky college type neighborhood in Brighton, a neighborhood of Boston. I stopped outside a bar/club to read about who was coming there to play and saw that The Peter Tork Project was on the list that weekend. To this day I regret not going back to check out him and his band. I mean, look at what he was willing to do simply because of his addiction to creating music! He deserved my support.

My bad.

not just the special voice, but the way he could phrase around the music was just beautiful. mind you, I dislike New York and Something Stoopid. Even My Way bothered me. Gotta go back before that stuff.

Watching YouTube videos on the comparisons for reloading mil-spec 7.62 x 51mm to 308.
What can I say… I bought a bunch of mil-spec 7.62 for $12.50/box and just can't throw away the brass.
I'm frugal that way.
