Quickie question - should I pick up 2 bottles of Wellers Special Reserve or 1 bottle of OW Antique?

Can't do all 3 so gotta make a decision.

Whats the price on OWA? I think OWA is my favorite of the 3 regular wellers. I still haven't had WLW. On my target list right now.

Talked myself into a bottle of Balvenie doublewood... $49.99 at BevMo.

Prolly have a glass this weekend.

If only it was $49.99 in Alabama.... only slightly less here than the Caribbean Cask, so I'll usually spring for the extra $7-8.

The Carribean Cask is $75.99 here.

The Glenlivet 18 was $81.99 and I almost got that one. I've had it before and it is damn good. Wanted to get out of the store spending under $100, though... and I already had a bunch of Ayinger oktoberfest pints in the basket. 😰

What I really wanted was the Balvenie Portwood... just didn't want to drop $220 for it.

Interesting. The CC is cheaper here - I think $69, but the Doublewood is $61 or so.

I could be wrong (would not be the first time) but I believe you will find the CC is less than the Double Wood.

And almost forgot, Woodford Reserve double oak this afternoon.

Pricing here is same as what MACS has near him for Balvenie

No whiskey tonight but did use some Buffalo Trace Single Oak Project to soak oak cubes in for a homebrew today

Better to go to Pensacola, much better selection and prices are better.

I will shop the following three for items I can't find at the Class Six store, Pensacola NAS.

Bambooze, 8084 N Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32514
Small, clean, well stocked and friendly, knowledgeable owner. Few blocks north of I-10. Some high end stuff.

Perdido Liquor, 8058 W Highway 98, Pensacola, FL 32506
Large stock, good selection of bourbon, scotch and Irish whisky. Larger selection of high end stuff.

Richey's East, 6895 N 9th Ave, Pensacola, FL 32504
Probably largest overall stock and largest beer selection in Pensacola.

I normally shop at the top two due to their locations (less driving time).

Burner, you ever been to the Jellyfish bar? if so, they still have that sushi mountain challenge? I sprayed rice out my nose pretty hard about 7-8 years ago .... Perdido liquor made me think about it

Oh ya and, smooth ambler cask strength single barrel. 10yr 108 pf I think. A bit tannic but not bad. splash of water opened it up real nice.
