One of, if not THE greatest live rock album of all-time.

77 F / 68% RH / 8 mph - temps starting to dip, gotta bust out the socks and sweatshirt pretty soon

Frampton Comes Alive. I'm trying to comprehend how 40 years have passed since it was released. It would be impossible for anyone shy of their 50's to comprehend how big (and surprising) that album was. Great summer, '76...for the music released that year, but also for having seen Frampton with BTO in Milwaukee that summer. Gary Wright was the advertised opener......AND....a little band that was unknown outside of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin started things off: Cheap Trick. Budokan was still years away.

^^^ What's odd is that I liked Frampton up until "FCA." Enjoyed him during his Humble Pie days but when that album snowballed into mega popularity, every Tom, Dyyck and Harry would come into the record store I worked in and asked for us to put it on while they shopped. By then of course, we had heard it numerous times so the over saturation just killed it for me. Saw him on a PBS special about 6 or 7 years ago and really enjoyed his performance (...didn't recognize him at first 'cause he was bald!...).

Allman Brothers - S.U.N.Y. at Stonybrook, NY 9/19/71

With 1 of 4 known recordings of Duane playing live on "Blue Sky." He would tragically be killed in less than 2 months. 😢

(Frank - no, you don't think you were at that show and yes, I did send you a copy.)

78 F / 68% RH / 20 mph with gusts up to 24 - shoulda brought out some socks and a sweatshirt

REM - Life's Rich Pageant

Late night drive. I'd forgotten how strong the album is start to finish.

Haha, no cigar tonight in the garage. Usual family day and then some work b.s. so had to sacrifice something.

But as you can tell, music is my thing. From vinyl to CD to bit torrents to online streaming, always found a way to listen to the artists I enjoy.

Pink Floyd Animals. Still solid, but not quite as awesome as I remember. Might be due to lack of THC accompaniment

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On - 40th Anniversary (Super Deluxe)

Even after all these years, this still makes my Top 10 Deserted Island list. In it's time, the songs were so spot on to what was going on in this country.
