I heard good things but didn't pick up a bottle. I think I'm only purchasing barrel proofers and limited editions for the foreseeable future. Trying to drink down my lower proof offerings to make space!

Nick, We received a heads up as you did I'm sure that B Red had a special going as this was just now entering our market ( only sold in St. Louis and Illinois ) and they were offering it up @ $25 / 750 ml (retail $40) so we thought what the hell....( picked up (2) )

Had a rocks glass last night and DID enjoy it.

Nose

Palate

The woody, smoky tones you expect, followed by an exceptionally smooth finish with undertones of oak and mild spice. @100 proof No word on exactly where it's distilled but the word is Heaven Hill

You can take it for a spin when we eventually get together to ash one :)

I'm glad they point out that it is not a wheater. I believe when Stitzel-Weller produced the brand it was one of their now infamous wheaters. Kind of limits the hype train. Good to hear it stands up on its own!
