HW Rendezvous Rye BRL pick finished 1.5 years in bourbon barrels.

Pretty good stuff. ON sale at the broad ripple BRL for like $55 a bottle instead of the normal 69.99 right now! Don' think they put the sale on all stores like jerks =(

The barrel finish really tames down the MGP rye herabl/dill note that can sometimes be over powering. I think I like this better than SAOS Rye right now.

I'll second or third the 4 Roses Small Batch. One of my staples in the liquor stash these days.

Green spot nor Yellow spot did it for me. I've not delved much into Irish whiskey. Regular jameson is okay. I enjoyed Jameson Rarest VIntage and Gold Reserve. I did not like teeling when I had a sample of it from masters of malt.

I'm starting to look more at scotch and brandies as well..... its a slippery slope......

I like green and yellow. green has a faint green apple taste I like. Springbank 12 cask strength has a similar green apple taste with a little peet.

I would recommend Bushmills 16 or 21yo single malt. I never have tried the 10yo offering but the 16 and 21 are excellent for Irish whiskey.
