New to the cigar scene, smoked for a month got hooked and decided to start my own collection.
I have a Stradivarius humidor that I can't get to stay above 60 % to save my life and it's irritating me.
Today I finally snapped, I pulled all my cigars out. Cleaned my box, wiped it down and started fresh, even RE calibrated my hydrometer.
Everything was great box went to 82 %
Stuck my cigars back in there and left it alone for 5 hours.
Smoke '30 came around went to pull out a herencia core and the box is back down to a bloody 62%.
What the flying dog **** tacos am I do wrong?

Calibrate you hydrometer.

What is humidifying them?

I have one of those thingy mobobities that you put distilled water in. I also changed the water out of that and added fresh. As soon as I put my smokes in the humidity dropped

62 is waaaaaay better than 82!

It's lower than that now. Most likely under 60. I'll check when I get home

Just quit all the fuss and get boveda and or heartfelt beads.

Either your humidor sucks, or your hygrometer sucks. Calibrate a digital one and then throw it in there, if it matches your analog, then your humidor sucks.

Test your hygrometer with the salt test and see what it reads

Maybe you already done that did not read any of this

You really don't need to know the specific gravity of your cigars, you know, with your hydrometer.

Why does he have bloody in his humidor? Is that why he doesn't post here any longer?

Does that Stradivarius humidor have sure seal tech or is it the one I am seeing all over the net where the tray trys to act as the sure seal?

I don't know anyone who actually witnessed it...but, that is the prevailing theory....BS was always something of a crotchety sort...but once upon a time he had a sense of humor and a sliver of respect, even if feigned, for most. That dwindled over the years and he seemed to be a very dark, tortured individual who rarely had anything nice to say. I think that getting his dick stuck in that chicken affected his demeanor....and not in a positive way. Mr. Sunshine faded away....and has been missed almost as much as TW misses his genital warts
