I certainly had a few professors that let the class know their thoughts on current topics. I particularly recall two. One was my freshman calculus teacher who was a child prodigy who got his doctorate when he was 17 and it seemed like all he talked about was how advanced education was all BS. The other was a Muslim TA (for differential equations) who would fuss at the Muslim students for not fasting during Ramadan. It never bothered me because both classes where pretty hard and I had to work pretty hard to keep my head above water in both classes.

Paul you are correct that times were different a few decades ago.

Problem: colleges have a political bias.
Solution: Don't send your kids there.

If colleges want to employ these types....fine, but the least they co do is put their political beliefs on their class description page so the kids can make an informed decision. If they ( the profs. ) have no problem disseminating their PERSONAL political beliefs in their classrooms they should have no issue with putting it out there for ALL to see.

I knew they were racist subjects.......Trigonometry too!!!! That's why I boycotted these subjects when I was in high school.....
then I graduated,and chose machinist as a career path.....sure wound up wishing I had studied a little more math.......but the man was trying to keep me down with his racist teachings.....I had to rebel[-(

Pretty sure math/engineering students aren't going to be taking any classes from this lady.

Also pretty sure that it wasn't Isaac Newton's fault that Africans were too busy running from lions instead of developing calculus.

Yes, the ancient white guys that laid the groundwork for modern mathematics and physics should absolutely get credit for their work.

Oh, I'm not even mad though, and I don't hate her or anything... in fact, she's not horrible looking, if I was single I would probably hit it.
