If you smoked an average of one doobie a day it comes to about one Ounce a month. 960 ounces consumed at one ounce per month would take 80yrs! Of course that's not counting reducing some of it into concentrates like tinctures and hash.

Maybe they where buying enough to celebrated each year they where alive LOL

60lbs at approx $1,500 per pound is around $90,000. That's a different type of retirement investment for sure!

Cali's wholesale prices are about the same, but their taxes may be higher.

When you're buying in bulk, especially 60lbs worth, the price tends to drop. $1,500/lb is "approx" but they probably paid less - closer to $1K/lb.
