President Trump — frustrated that neither Mexico nor Congress will foot the bill for his long-promised border wall — now wants the US military to pick up the tab, a new report said Tuesday.

The president complained to associates that he felt jilted when lawmakers included only $1.6 billion for the wall in the omnibus spending bill he signed last week, the Washington Post reported.

So his latest plan — despite repeated assurances to supporters before and after his election that Mexico would pay — is to frame the wall as a national security issue that should be handled by America’s armed forces.

Trump told House Speaker Paul Ryan that the military should pay for the wall in a meeting last Wednesday in the White House, the paper reported, citing three sources.

Ryan and other lawmakers reportedly were lukewarm about the plan.
